Per Rapoport, Hurney will "have a high-ranking role in the front office." The top role is going to ex-Lions GM Martin Mayhew. That's a lot of experience and brainpower in a front office that has been desperately low on both of late, though it could make for a confused command structure, something that has been staple under owner Daniel Snyder. Hurney and coach Ron Rivera's long history together could create a temptation to work independently of Mayhew.
