My guess as the next player: CB Will Johnson. Before going back to Jalon Walker going into the draft. Keep in mind, Jalon has his pre-draft workout for teams on April 17th. He’s a first rate athlete and I fully expect him to wow the coaches, scouts, media the same way Shemar Stewart did at the Combine

Nick Scott CAR Safety#21 ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Panthers agreed to terms with S Nick Scott on a one-year deal Scott drew interest from other teams, according to Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer. The 29-year-old is a depth safety and considered a special teams ace. With only two other safeties on the roster, it made plenty of sense for Carolina to bring him back. It’s the second consecutive offseason the Panthers have given Scott a one-year contract.

After losing Franks and Johnson, Carolina wants to reinforce depth and special teams productivity. This doesn’t preclude re-signing or drafting anyone. Panthers have plenty of deep depth holes to fill, that’s what they are doing here.
