  1. Per Tony Pauline Both the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers have an interest in Mayfield, though it must be classified as remote at this point and nothing is pending. Sources close to the situation tell me a trade to either of those teams likely wouldn’t happen until after the first round is completed next Thursday. If Mayfield is not traded by the time the 2022 NFL Draft is over, the quarterback and the Browns could be in for a long haul https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-news-and-rumors-baker-mayfields-contract-and-deshaun-watson-signing-impacting-qbs-trade-market/
  2. I found it interesting that Snow said he would like to add another Safety
  3. Despite the tough talk and Tepper’s aggressive acknowledgement of it, an olive branch has been extended. Of sorts. “We have sent notices to the City to formally terminate the previous agreements,” the statement concludes. “Accordingly, we are prepared to sit down with the City and other interested parties to discuss the significant challenges ahead.” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/04/19/panthers-officially-pull-plug-on-rock-hill-headquarters/
  4. I rather enjoyed the McAdoo presser good stuff

  6. SAM DARNOLDQB, CAROLINA PANTHERS Speaking at a presser, Panthers OC Ben McAdoo was asked if Sam Darnold was Carolina's starting quarterback and said "yes." "That is something I shouldn't have said," McAdoo added. From the mouths of babes. We guess we can't rule this out being some sort of clumsy smokescreen, and nobody should be surprised if the Panthers draft a quarterback. But one of the league's elite Down Bad teams continues to present itself as extremely Down Bad. “Sam was one of the people that intrigued me for the job. Sam does have some magic in his game," McAdoo also said.
  7. Pretty sure the Browns fed this information to Mary Kay Cabot on Saturday in order to get other teams to believe a trade was imminent
  8. Per Breer As I see it, the Panthers can gamble, barring someone trading up (which I think is unlikely), that they’ll have their pick of quarterbacks at No. 6. What’s hard to forecast is whether any of the top three tackles—Ekwonu, Cross or Alabama’s Evan Neal—will be on the board when Carolina’s up. If those three are gone, maybe it’ll be simplified for the Panthers and they’ll take a quarterback. But if one or more of the tackles are there, it wouldn’t stun me, or others in the league, if the Panthers grit their teeth and go with the offensive lineman over the quarterback—with perhaps the idea that they could go and get Jimmy Garoppolo after the first round, or even Baker Mayfield, who’s been seen internally as a sort of redundant gamble to what the team did with Sam Darnold last year (and would probably require the Browns’ eating a whole bunch of his $18.858 million base). Having Mayfield and Darnold, the top two quarterbacks in 2018 (both of whom were drafted before Allen and Jackson), together would be interesting, for sure. But right now, my guess is the Browns would be pushing that more than the Panthers are looking for it.
