AUSTIN CORBETTG, CAROLINA PANTHERS Panthers coach Frank Reich doesn't expect RG Austin Corbett (knee) to be ready for Week 1. Corbett tore his ACL in the Panthers' regular season finale and underwent surgery in January. Returning for Week 1 was never likely for Corbett, who would be only eight months removed from the injury. Corbett should avoid open the year on the PUP list, which would sideline him the first six games.

JAMMIE ROBINSONS, CAROLINA PANTHERS Panthers selected Florida State S Jammie Robinson with the No. 145 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Robinson (5’11/191) spent his first two seasons at South Carolina where he logged the majority of his reps in the slot to take advantage of his tenacity around the line of scrimmage and short-area mirroring ability. He thrived in the role, playing 670 recording 62 tackles and five PBU, and a scintillating 90.7 PFF tackling grade en route to receiving freshman All-SEC accolades. However, after HC Will Muschamp was replaced by current HC Shane Beamer, Robinson opted to transfer to Florida State for a fresh start. It was a prescient decision, with Robinson recording a gaudy 183 tackles, 12.0 TFL, 13 PBU, and five interceptions over his two seasons with the Noles, earning First-Team All-ACC recognition in each. His role changed last season, with the Second Team All-American logging 76% of his snaps at either free safety or in the box as opposed to his previously slot-heavy role. The move allowed Robinson to showcase his toughness near the line and notable ability to sift through traffic and bring down ball carriers, as his 7.3 career missed tackle rate backs up. He's pretty small for box work in the NFL and will likely put his 6.89 3-Cone (85th percentile) and 1.51 10-yard split (98th percentile) to use by harassing slot receivers as a versatile nickel back who can also drop back to single-high when called upon.

CHANDLER ZAVALAG, CAROLINA PANTHERS Panthers selected NC State G Chandler Zavala with the No. 114 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Zavala (6'4/322) can move and jump and change directions with the best of them, as exemplified by his 9.5 RAS. A 96th percentile vertical and 87th percentile bench shows how his upper and lower body strength in isolation. What makes his ability scary is when he can utilize the two halves together. During his 17 games in Raleigh, he has only allowed 1 QB hit and 7 QB hurries while conceding no sacks. Though he has only demonstrated game tape from the left guard position, Zavala has practiced on the right side before, making the side versatility an option. He has good awareness, adeptly picking up on stunts, ensuring a victory on the play leverage. His power also allows him to hold the advantage in body leverage a vast majority of the time. Like many linemen from lower levels of competition, his biggest returns to development will come in hand techniques. However, there is no reason to believe that Zavala won't succeed in multiple schemes as he can also move well enough to play out on the edge on pulls. The Wolfpack were a somewhat surprising team in 2022 and Zavala had a huge part to play in contributing to their success.
