  1. 2.How can Morgan best help Young this offseason? 3. Will the Panthers pay both corners? 4. Are the Panthers about to turn over their specialists group?
  2. 1.Will there be changes to the defensive staff? This also could potentially be worded: How pervasive will the changes to the defensive staff be? David Tepper notably retained Frank Reich’s entire defensive staff for Canales — led by Ejiro Evero, who was blocked by Tepper from interviewing for other coordinator positions. Tepper has stayed behind the scenes during the seventh consecutive losing season since he bought the team. But it’s hard to envision Tepper running it back with the same defensive staff, which didn’t have ties to Canales in the first place. The Panthers already have established franchise highs for rushing yards (2,830) and points (496) allowed, and will finish among the worst teams in NFL history in both categories. Pro Bowl cornerback Jaycee Horn said early-season injuries — to Pro Bowl defensive end Derrick Brown and linebacker Shaq Thompson — hurt the defense’s chemistry
  3. As noted by Joe Person of The Athletic, the Panthers have now placed Johnson on the non-football injury list—officially ending his 2024 campaign.
  4. Per Panthers spokesperson: DJ Johnson sustained a concussion in a two-car accident Thursday on Rama Rd. in south Charlotte. Was not transported by emergency medical personnel. Panthers placed Johnson on the non-football injury list today. — Joe Person (@josephperson) January 3, 2025
  5. Jaycee Horn: Out Amare' Barno: Out Josey Jewell: Out Lonnie Johnson: Out DJ Johnson: Out https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2025/01/03/panthers-falcons-week-18-injury-report-friday/
  6. Jaycee Horn, who was officially named to his first Pro Bowl Games yesterday morning, has been ruled out for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Atlanta Falcons due to his hip injury.
  7. Well, I'm convinced. Bryce is the real deal
  8. Exactly. We had street free agents (LaBryan Ray, Sam Roberts, Caleb Farley) other team's practice squad additions (Chandler Wooten, Jacoby Windmon, Cam Gill) waiver claims (Akayleb Evans) undrafted free agent (Demani Richardson, who btw played very well) taking the majority of the defensive snaps.
  9. Eight players were listed as non-participants for Wednesday’s practice, one of the team’s last before this weekend’s regular-season finale against the Atlanta Falcons. Starting cornerback Jaycee Horn, who continues to deal with a hip injury, was among the eight men who were out this afternoon. The former eighth overall pick, in his first absence of 2024, missed last week’s 48-14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Running back Miles Sanders, on the other hand, was able to get back to the practice field today after missing the last six games due to an ankle sprain. The Panthers officially designated his return prior to the session.
  10. Isn't NO hosting the Super Bowl this year? Terrible
  11. Right. Can't blame him, we traded Burns in order to use that money to use on the offensive side of the team. We left him with little to work with on defense and once Derrick Brown went down for the season it was all over. I continue to say he's doing the best with what he has to work with, I feel a mutual departure will be what occurs next week.
  12. We can take away a few positives here; mainly rookies Demani Richardson and Jaden Crumedy. Richardson looks like he could be a contributor at the SAF next season. Crumedy had half a sack and should be starting over LaBryan Ray at DE.

  15. The Panthers plan to play their starters in Week 18 against the Falcons and they may also be getting running back Miles Sanders back in the lineup. Sanders has been on injured reserve since November 23 due to an ankle injury he suffered in the team’s win over the Giants in Germany and head coach Dave Canales said that he will be returning to practice with the team on Wednesday. “Miles has been cleared,” Canales said, via the team’s website. “Last week, he was cleared to be able to play, so I’m really looking forward to getting him back on the field for practice this week. He was cleared later in the week, so it really wasn’t enough time to get him back into the flow of things for this week, but really looking forward to opening that window and getting him back out there.”

  17. Worst of the defense 13. OLB D.J. Wonnum: 40.8 14. OLB Cam Gill: 39.7 15. OLB DJ Johnson: 38.5 16. DT A’Shawn Robinson: 34.9 17. ILB Chandler Wooten: 27.4 Richardson’s tie in stops found him sitting alongside Wooten, who missed two tackles as well. He was also charged with allowing seven receptions for 184 yards over eight targets. DJ Wonnum, Cam Gill and DJ Johnson combined for just two pressures.
  18. Worst of the offense 10. RB Raheem Blackshear: 52.1 11. TE Ja’Tavion Sanders: 51.4 11. LT Ikem Ekwonu: 51.4 13. RG Robert Hunt: 42.9 14. RB Mike Boone: 42.3 That aforementioned pressure rate got some juice from Hunt, who allowed a game-high seven pressures. Ekwonu was charged with two pressures, both of which accounted as sacks. In the absence of starting running back Chuba Hubbard, Blackshear and Boone combined for 31 rushing yards on 10 carries
  19. Best of the offense 1. WR Adam Thielen: 82.1 2. QB Bryce Young: 80.3 3. WR David Moore: 66.0 4. C Cade Mays: 65.1 5.
