  7. overpaid once again for a RB but I suppose the organization felt it was important to retain one of their homegrown players

  9. Remember when you hypocrites were saying he was a bust early in the year? I'm absolutely disgusted in all of you
  10. Panthers' Bryce Young took a significant step forward in Week 9 Bryce Young is back as the Carolina Panthers‘ starting quarterback, and he is fresh off his best performance of the season. It was an encouraging showing — one that resulted in only the Panthers' second win — for a young quarterback who was previously benched. Highest-Graded Quarterbacks in Week 9 Young finished Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints with a 77.8 PFF overall grade, his highest grade this season and the third-highest of his career. His stat line doesn’t look overly impressive, but a major reason for that is his two big-time throws being dropped and intercepted — two unlucky plays that would have made his box score better reflect his performance. There’s no hiding that the Panthers' offense has struggled with Young under center. The 2023 No. 1 overall pick looked lost and broken in his first two starts of 2024, but after five weeks as a backup, he seems to have found his confidence again, putting together his two best performances of the season since returning to helm the offense. It took until the second quarter for the Panthers' offense to get going in Week 9, but a big third-down conversion led to their first touchdown of the game. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-carolina-panthers-bryce-young-significant-step-forward-week-9

  14. Jonathan Mingo to the Cowboys Cowboys receive: WR Jonathan Mingo, 2025 seventh-round pick Panthers receive: 2025 fourth-round pick Dallas Cowboys: C Leave it to Jerry Jones to wait until after Dak Prescott is injured to go after another receiver. To be fair, the Dallas Cowboys have a real need for the position. CeeDee Lamb is a superstar, but Jalen Tolbert and Brandin Cooks haven't been the needle movers that the Cowboys were hoping for. Making a trade for a receiver wasn't a bad move, but the player that the Cowboys gave up three rounds of value to acquire is questionable. Jonathan Mingo checked a lot of physical and athletic boxes as the 40th-overall pick in 2023. Unfortunately, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound wideout has struggled to be a productive receiver at the NFL level. Some of that has to do with playing for the Carolina Panthers, but Mingo has seriously lacked efficiency at the position. Mingo has yet to record his first NFL touchdown, catching 55 passes for 539 yards. Per TruMedia, he has just 0.74 yards per route run in his career, which ranks 177th out of 186 receivers with at least 50 targets since the start of the 2023 season.Even though Mingo fills a need, that's a lot of value to give up for a receiver that's struggled so much at the NFL level. The good news is that he still has a couple more years on his rookie deal, so at least the Cowboys are getting a cheap developmental project to learn from a star like Lamb. Carolina Panthers: A Instead of trying to hold onto Mingo, the Panthers took what they could get, and that turned out to be way more than expected. Mingo quickly became expendable thanks to the rapid ascension of rookie receiver Xavier Legette. Along with a larger-than-life personality, Legette has hauled in 26 catches for 244 yards and four touchdowns. Three of those touchdowns have come in the last four games, with Legette becoming more and more of a focal point in Carolina's offense. For a team that needs to capitalize as much as possible on draft assets, moving up three rounds in the draft to move on from a disappointing draft pick feels like an absolute win. https://www.the33rdteam.com/nfl-trade-deadline-2024-grading-every-move/
  15. Amazingly enough Jonathan Mingo actually had more trade value than Adam Thielen

  17. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports the Panthers will keep QB Bryce Young. There was smoke around the idea that the Panthers would at least listen to offers for Young, but apparently they didn’t like what they heard. Ultimately it’s not surprising as most teams view quarterback as a position to upgrade in the offseason — perhaps the Panthers will eventually move on from Young then. Young, 23, looks likely to start against the Giants this week after playing one of the better games of his career in a win over the Saints in Week 9.

  20. According to Jeremy Fowler, Panthers RB Miles Sanders is available for trade ahead of today’s deadline. Tony Pauline echoes the reporting that the Panthers would like to trade Sanders but so far the interest has been lukewarm at best.
