  1. Madden 2023 says we're the worst team in the league and that's what really counts. All other opinions are cat crap.
  2. This has always been a problem with Cam: the more he speaks the more stupid he sounds
  3. Dov Kleiman @NFL_DovKleiman Newton: "I'm not going to conform to nothing." "I saw myself more valuable than a Tom Brady, I saw myself more valuable than an Aaron Rodgers, than a Peyton Manning." "Because I can go into their community but they can never go to my community."
  4. Former NFL linebacker Channing Crowder, one of the hosts of The Pivot Podcast, pushed back against Newton. “You are 33 years old,” Crowder said. “You done got old. You’re one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world right now? Cam, I cannot accept that. I can’t accept it. I saw what you did in New England. When you went back to Carolina, I saw what happened. Like, the proof’s in the pudding.” Crowder remained very aggressive regarding the notion that Cam isn’t who he used to be. Newton nevertheless disagreed strongly with the idea that he doesn’t have it anymore, ultimately citing the “fuged up situations” mentioned above. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/06/07/cam-newton-blames-himself-for-f-ked-up-situations-in-new-england-and-carolina/#comments
  5. WR Charleston Rambo - 100k base salary guaranteed WR Ra'Shaun Henry - 100k base salary guaranteed LB Arron Mosby - 75k base salary guaranteed LB Khalan Tolson - 65k base salary guaranteed NT Marquan McCall - 45k base salary guaranteed LB Isaiah Graham-Mobley - 45k base salary guaranteed This gives you a good idea which UDFA's the team think have a good shot of making the team
  6. Yes, it seems odd that a multi-billionaire would be able to shirk or minimize financial responsibilities by taking advantage of the bankruptcy laws. But rich people don’t get or stay that way by being stupid. In creating a company that was and is separate from his personal fortune and putting that company in charge of the aborted construction project for his football team’s stadium, Tepper can shield himself from having to dip into his own piggy bank to pay 100 cents on the dollar to those who provided services to a project that Tepper dumped once public financing didn’t come through. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/06/02/david-tepper-takes-his-real-estate-development-company-to-bankruptcy/
  7. Apparently he's a very good special teams guy
  8. The team clearly likes this guy and believe he can make the team.
  9. The Chapter 11 filing lists contractor Mascaro/Barton Malow as the largest creditor, with an unsecured claim of $26,809,900, which the document notes is disputed. Also disputed is the second-largest claim, $20 million from York County, S.C., that is listed as unsecured. And architect Populous’ $784,534 unsecured claim is also listed as disputed. The league has very conservative finance rules, though they apparently won’t apply to a bankruptcy filing by an owner’s company unconnected legally to the team. GT Real Estate is registered in North Carolina. Its 2022 annual report filed with the secretary of state lists Tepper as the only officer, with no mention of the team or his sports holding company. Its 2019 organizing registration filed with the state was signed by Jeffrey Kaplan, an executive at Tepper’s hedge fund company. But the league could be concerned about the image of its wealthiest owner using the bankruptcy code to avoid paying, at least fully, contractors he hired, did work, and then weren’t needed. https://theathletic.com/3345348/2022/06/01/panthers-david-tepper-rock-hill-bankruptcy/
