  1. “Tepper, I’m told, took note of that,” Breer writes. “And it was a motivator—in addition to helping the cause of Black coaches—to focus the hiring of Reich’s staff, particularly at the higher levels of it, to diverse candidates with upward mobility. So after the Reich hire, Carolina zeroed in on Denver defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, who was right there with Vic Fangio as the most sought-after prospective DC league-wide, and Eagles QBs coach Brian Johnson for coordinator jobs. “They landed Evero, couldn’t quite get Johnson (who’s in line to be promoted to offensive coordinator in Philly) but wound up with well-regarded Rams assistant head coach Thomas Brown as OC instead. And, of course, the first reason to write big checks to get those guys is the belief that they’ll be first-class lieutenants for Reich, the way Nick Sirianni and Matt Eberflus were for him in Indianapolis.” https://www.si.com/nfl/2023/02/27/aaron-rodgers-packers-trade-ten-takeaways-mmqb
  2. It’s fortunate we have a new coaching staff who will be able to properly evaluate our roster. Just because a guy might be terrific and popular does not mean you overpay and re-sign him no matter what. That’s some Marty Hurney poo Be more like the Patriots it that regard
  3. I can’t wait for that Devin Fitzsimmons presser
  4. I’m thinking the team is waiting to officially announce the entire coaching staff via their social media/website
  5. I have a feeling that by the time Chicago finishes their QB evaluations they're gonna come to the conclusion that there are 2 maybe 3 QB's in this draft class that are better than Justin Fields. I would not be surprised if they don't trade out and simply take Stroud/Young/Levis
  6. PFF's QB rankings https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2023-nfl-draft-position-rankings-quarterback 1. BRYCE YOUNG, ALABAMA BIG BOARD RANK: 1 An offensive coordinator will have to do some things to scheme around Young's height, but it's a small price to pay for everything else he brings to the table. 2. WILL LEVIS, KENTUCKY BIG BOARD RANK: 4 Levis' tape has so much to like from a tools and NFL-readiness standpoint, but his accuracy — or lack thereof — is borderline untenable at this point. 3. C.J. STROUD, OHIO STATE BIG BOARD RANK: 5 As a passer, Stroud is nothing like the other two first-round quarterbacks who came out of Ohio State before him. And that bodes well for his NFL prospects. 4. ANTHONY RICHARDSON, FLORIDA BIG BOARD RANK: 11 High-end play wins Super Bowls, and no one has a higher end in this class than Richardson. Now, what are the chances he reaches that or even comes close? 5. TANNER MCKEE, STANFORD BIG BOARD RANK: 29 McKee ticks a lot of boxes, and there's good reason to believe he'll be even better in the NFL than he was in college. 6. HENDON HOOKER, TENNESSEE BIG BOARD RANK: 94 Hooker's age, injury and offense give him a unique prospect profile that is truly unprecedented. That being said, it's very easy to still buy into his tools and progression.
  7. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-what-are-the-chicago-bears-options-with-the-no-1-overall-pick-in-the-2023-nfl-draft PANTHERS GET NO. 1 OVERALL BEARS GET NO. 9 OVERALL NO. 61 OVERALL 1ST ROUND PICK (2024) 1ST ROUND PICK (2025)
  8. By the time the draft rolls around Hooker is gonna be a 2nd rounder
  9. Hooker would fit what Reich looks for in a QB in his system. C.J. Stroud, Hooker, Tanner McKee in that order
  10. Oh so now you all love Tepper now? you guys disgust me damn hypocrites
