NFL Playoffs Divisional Round - Games Thread
Moonraker replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Looking to tomorrow...this is IT for the Bills, right? If I'm a part of that org I'm thinking we HAVE to win this game or it's curtains for us with the current regime. They looked dead and buried halfway through the season and resurrected themselves, which is great, but this is like the entire franchise is on the line tomorrow. In my mind, at least.. -

True, he could implode. They just seem like a very complete team. They already dog walked the 49ers and I'd trust Lamar (or any of the AFC QBs left) over Purdy. I thought Purdy was pretty bad today and the 49ers always seem to get their QB exposed (or hurt) in the NFCCG or SB recently. -

Man. GB lost that game more than the 49ers won it. I'm not sure it matters though. I know any team can win a game, but once Baltimore knocked the rust off today they looked unbeatable. They already smoked most of these teams once. -
I mean what is the likelihood that no promising candidate wants our spot? I know HC spots are coveted but you KNOW you are inheriting a turd with no 1st round picks lol

Texans hung with em for a bit, but I think everyone knew they were outclassed and this was the Ravens game to lose. Texas is definitely on the come up going forward though. -
Every time i see Sirianni he just looks like he would be a massive tool in person.

Who is falling for the Peacock Wildcard bullshitt

Welcome to USA Inc. -
I wanted Stroud but I'm an OSU guy and he just looked like he had a better cannon. Ultimately tho, these threads are too frequent and frankly, are stupid. Revisionist history won't get us any closer to not being the worst team in the league. Time to accept the hand we have dealt ourselves. I'll root for the Texans tho, they are fun to watch.

The 2015 Superbowl was the 1 game where I thought we had NO CHANCE of losing, coming off the reverse Delhomme we pulled on the Cardinals in the NFCCG. It just felt like we were destined to win. I'm always skeptical going into every week but deadass I was never more certain that we were going to win. Watching that game was one of the most depressing experiences of my life, for real. I haven't been able to watch or follow with the same enthusiasm since, which I look back on now as a good thing. That game broke me though lol.

Relax dude, take a breath. I've been a Panthers fan since I was a young boy. As I've gotten older, I've realized that it's ok to have fun watching other teams, even cheering for them to win. There's more to life than blindly defending a team that literally has no idea who you are. You don't need to scream about it on a forum, it won't help you feel better.

I'm a Texans fan for the remainder of the season. They are legitimately fun to watch rn. Lots of young talent making plays, a coach that doesn't have the personality of an oak tree, tons of energy.

It's actually kind of impressive that one team can make the wrong decision 100% of the time

Antonio "Wilks" is why Frank has to be fired tomorrow
Moonraker replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
This team doesn't consist of Panthers. There are maybe 3 left. We just have a bunch of dudes wearing the same jersey. -
You know it's just funny...there are a few "sure things", but in general, the entire scouting profession is a total sham/fraud. It's a bunch of pseudo-intellectuals that have convinced everybody that they know things that you don't. It's just like the stock market. It's always more than just 1 guy in football. Carolina would still be bad if we didn't have Bryce, but he is a HUGE part of why we are so putrid. I don't know how anyone could watch the OSU/UGA game last year and walk away from it thinking Stroud was anything other than the surefire #1 QB in the draft. I haven't even been watching the past few weeks...i guess I'm just getting older or more bitter, but the amount of nepotism and good ol' boyism in the NFL kind of makes me sick. Too many incompetent people are allowed to keep multi-million dollar jobs, and we are supposed to sympathize/feel bad for them.

Do you watch CJ Stroud and wonder ‘what if’?
Moonraker replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Shows how random the NFL can be...how in God's name is that our 1 win lol -
The positive to take away is that we really can't possibly get worse.

1st & 30 after getting the ball on their 40 LOL

We have to be one of the most boring teams in professional sports history.
-
Is this 3 games he has blown with multiple pick 6 and red zone turnovers? These don't feel like "rookie mistakes"
-
Sometimes I don't understand how some people are even in the pros. The Panthers have no business even existing, they are so bad. We are that dude at work that everybody wonders how the fug they still have a job.
-
I think he'll be good if we can build a good TEAM around him. Look at Cam. He was an absolute specimen and we made and lost 1 superbowl with him because we never had a complete team around...hell we had a lot of losing seasons with him. We need it from GM/HC all the way down. Plenty of great QBs never got it done. When you are as bad of an organization as we are rn, the cumulative stink makes each individual player look worse than they probably are.

No team in the NFC south is averaging more than 19 points per game
Moonraker replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think our defense is a little over-hyped, but we've had a lot of injuries and our offense has put them in a lot of terrible positions. We also score a lot of those points when we are already down multiple scores. -
When the run is getting stuffed we insist on continuing to do it. When it's working, we abandon it. It's like a classic case of out-smarting yourself. It's not even about winning this game...you are being so stubborn that you refuse to do what clearly works because you just REALLY want it to be because of you. Can't even get out of their own way.

I feel like he's worth keeping unless it's actually a juicy offer, and I don't think it will be.
