The thing that surprises me about Canales is the he isn't getting Young out of the pocket to be able to see downfield more or teaching Young to step up in a pocket provided by the O-line. A lot falls on Young for not being a franchise QB. He got thrown to the wolves last year and this year he gets blitzed and has PTSD from last year. Not saying he was ever a QB1, but he should be able to be a serviceable QB2 and I think he has had that knocked out of him.

I hope you are right, still think it will be tough unless there's a big change to RBA's philosophy.

I love Jarvy, but he will not be putting up 100 points while RBA is the head coach. That kind of player does not exist on RBA's roster. If Aho or Jarvy get to 90 they are having a career season playing in this system. I'll take 70+ pts from our top 4 players - Aho, Jarvy, Svech, and Necas.

This makes me think they are still working on moving Necas, but damn has the kid and the dad put us in a bad situation. We need to get a decent return on him and the entire NHL knows the headache he is giving us....still though if a team wants him bad enough we need to extract every bit we can from them. Why do we always have at least one of these guys come along every 3 years or so......

From what I read we met his initial numbers and he came back and said he wants to go to FA, which is his right. I am guessing Tampa - he'll get the same $ or more in a tax free state. We are going to look a lot different guys.....

Losing Necas would be worse than a majority of Canes fans think. When he's on he controls the puck with speed and gains zone entry so well, he is still young. He should be considered part of our core.

Hell of a play.....

Neither Freddie or Pyotr were going to win this series for us. Our special teams let us down big time and got us in a 3-0 hole. The PK got better, the PP was pretty much non-existent. Our team's shooting % was 8.5. 8.5!!! Atrocious. It was 11.2% vs. the Islanders. The Rangers shooting % was 12.7% against us, around 14% against Washington. Bottom line is we sucked offensively....again. Pyotr or Freddie had to play lights out to win this series and it didn't happen. Freddie in Games 1, 2, 4, 5, 6: Pyotr in Game 3:

Gleason is ass?? I definitely would like to see Jeff Daniels move on to Chicago or somewhere else, but Gleason is not ass.

I can accept ticket price increases when that money is being spent to make the team and facilities better, unlike what Tepper has done in Charlotte. Dundon has a ton of respect from me. Also, you said a mouthful with that last sentence....Donny and the Committee have a lot of work to do. Priorities IMHO is getting Guentzel and Skjei re-signed. I love Pesce, but Skjei doesn't get hurt as much and Pesce doesn't have the offensive upside. Guentzel is a no brainer. I also strongly believe we should keep Necas, he is too fast, skilled, and dangerous to just let go. He has had some "WTF" moments but he is relatively still young. One other hail mary I'd like to throw out there is getting KK off the books for something of some value, but it's most likely a pipe dream.
