  1. Burns cannot contain the run and has no ability to drop back in coverage. He has one mode: rush QB. Even with that mode he isn't a game changer on this team as it currently stands. Luvu and Brown are much more important and the savings to rebuild to team are as well.
  2. maybe the Marley Girl can swing back around??
  3. but, but those six plays were really 12 because we flipped the routes and ran them the other way.
  4. I may be surprised, but I don't think Evero gets a HC job this cycle. The best thing I think for him and the Panthers is for him to come back and our D stays healthy and balls out. Then Evero gets his HC shot! It is apparent from last year his guys played hard for him and if we can just maintain some sort of health on the defensive side of the ball our D isn't too far from being good and if they buy into keep pounding they could be much better than good.
  5. You think so? I mean that's a pretty big bust, may be willing to agree with you after watching him one more season.
  6. I think Ejiro and staff may just stay. Canales had two opportunities to play against his defense and game plan and Tampa didn't look too hot....and that was with our MASH defensive unit. I would honestly hate to lose Ejiro.
  7. I definitely see us keeping AT and Mingo. Mingo just needs some coaching and learn to play to the whistle...keep running until you get open or hear the whistle. He would run his route and then looked lost as hell when the play broke down, I wonder if he's ever been taught to "come back to the ball?" We'd all like an Evans or Higgins, but I just don't see it. I also don't see Pickens, Metcalf, Pittman, or Jameson Williams available. Both Pickens and Williams are on cheap deals, why would those teams trade for anything we have? I think our pick in the 2nd round needs to be Best Available Receiver. We also can't forget we need at least 1 TE that can provide a threat in the passing game. We've been rolling with below average TEs for about 4 years now. Tremble is OK and I am fine with him as primarily a blocking TE with some receiving potential, but that group needs help too.
  8. I am not down with sending the 1st round pick with Bunting and KK. Sure, send the 2nd rounder and players and I guess I would be OK with that. One thing as @Harbingerspointed out is how do we make the $$ work? Maybe that's why a 1st in included in the rumor? I hate sending a 1st out when this front office/committee has been drafting so well.
  9. He found the Vitamin C in that orange grove! Yeeeeeeaaaaaahhhh boi!
  10. Someone change this man's Huddle Status to Mr. Cleo.
  11. He has surprised Spagnola and the Chiefs (and pretty much the modern football world) coming out with 6 offensive lineman sets. More proof he was just a fuggin scapegoat for that fool Rhule. I said that at the time the dude didn't deserve being fired. Panthers going to Panther though....
  12. Yep, totally agree on the yard sale O-Linemen we have signed over the last 3 years. Our actual starters staying healthy would be great, but you have to have at least 2-3 backups that aren't PS or off the street fodder.
  13. Depends on what kind of offense the new staff is going to run. I almost believe that Ekwonu needs to play LG and not sure Christensen is the answer at LT, he may be better than Ike but he certainly isn't proven. Getting Corbett back like countryboi said will help at RG and Moton will be fine at RT. The personnel we have right now has to be an establish the run first type unit because we don't have the best pass protectors and making our O-line have to be back on their heels as a first choice makes us even worse Maybe we see: LT Christensen (or upgrade in FA??) LG Ekwonu C Bozeman (hope he can bounce back) RG Corbett RT Moton The whole offense needs to have coaches that understand you can't force a scheme that just doesn't fit. The offense isn't very talented, the talent they think they have is inexperienced, and our vets are average at best. I like Hubbard's heart and tenacity, but he isn't a game changer at RB and Sanders literally sucked last year. We don't have a TE that can be called on to be a threat in the passing game. The Panthers need a full tear down and overhaul, enough trying to patch this team up into what would be at best a first round wild card loss. No easy answers.....
  14. not sure why we claimed him unless Raanta is banged up or they feel like he may be better behind our defense than he's shown elsewhere? It's not anything to really worry over though, if he's just a try-out or insurance policy for a week or two we can just waive him and send him to Chicago or something if he clears.
  15. Reported that the Panthers have asked permission from Lady Cowboys Fan to interview @Mr. Scotfor GM position now that the Cowboys were humiliated....I mean eliminated.
  16. Well another National Championship that will have an asterisk and "Vacated" in 2 years or so. Harbaugh jetting off to the NFL a la Pete Carroll.
  17. Yeah we need someone who has NFL experience and can walk that thin line of taping other teams and breaking down future opponent's offensive and defensive signals.
  18. Yeah because Reddick wasn't taking his sacks..... His sacks were up last season and in a contract year he regressed. Great way to show he's elite.
  19. He is Mr. Invisible in run defense and can't cover worth a poo when dropped in zone schemes. Burns only value comes when he is paired with a dominant Edge opposite of him a la Reddick. I was in the camp to re-sign Reddick but of course we didn't. Burns is an above average Edge, not a game changer. Tag him, trade him, just get the narcissist who is clearly deluded about his ability off the Panthers. I can't stand folks who can't be honest with themselves.
  20. If they can run a double move for Odunze and keep Penix upright they can beat Johnson.
  21. I don't agree, especially with the holes we have on our offensive line and lack of weapons. Why put someone who has struggled already in a worse situation than he was?
  22. Howell isn't a starting NFL QB, plenty of tape with him throwing ducks up for grabs when pressured. I chuckle thinking about him or really any QB behind the line we had this year..... Jacoby Brissett is a better pro QB than Howell.
  23. What do you mean? The Commanders have already told the staff they are all gone, the GM(s) are sticking around because they are "assisting" and continuing to collect a paycheck until they are out the door.
