Matt Ryan hasn't been the problem in Atlanta, it's been their inconsistent OL and running game paired with a defense that was jekyll and hyde and that is in decline. I would be surprised to see the Failcons go QB as that isn't really a pressing need, but I guess weirder things have happened.

In theory if we do trade CMC + for Watson then the + becomes a lot less. Our 2nd rounder this year and next? I don't think Houston gets a 1st rounder if we trade CMC to them....heck it may be they ship back a 3rd rounder to us in such a deal. We have to remember we are probably losing Samuel so it would be nice to be able to keep CMC to replace what Samuel did in the offense this past year. I say go for it and trade some 1st rounders, some 2nd rounders, maybe throw Teddy in there if we can and maybe get a 3rd or 4th round pick in future drafts.

I hope Sam Mills gets in, it will be close. He was pure class on and off the field and someone I greatly admire for all that he gave to the game and the New Orleans and Charlotte communities.

I think this is a situation you have to explore what Houston may want for Watson. This is just due diligence for our new GM F-man and the council. Reach out and see what the Texans are looking for and suggest what we would be willing to give.....this is an opportunity we can't pass up.
