and to think he could have been had on a pretty cheap contract this off season! What a return for Detroit, he isn't worth all that IMO.

Man Fleury really never came into his own as a Hurricane. I thought after his "bubble" performance last year he had finally established himself, but he came back into this season performing at his standard level....a level we all know Rod wanted him to improve upon. He may well get picked up by Seattle, but we still have to lose a player to them as well. I sure hope this doesn't backfire. Florida and Tampa Bay got better today IMO. Florida definitely is playing with fire with all their additions, but that's still a tough team that we've handled well during the regular season.....I hate when we have a great record against a team and have to play them in the playoffs. Also, Boston is better too......Hall was dogging it in Buffalo, but something tells me he'll pick it up for Boston. Lot's riding on a good end of season/playoff run for his next contract.

Panthers @ Hurricanes Games Thread 4/6-4/8
Rocky Davis replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Gotta keep it going....it's nice to be the best now but I want us to be the best in July! Ned is making a believer out of me! -
or Mike Remmers.....
-
Yeah, but this team should be equipped to deal with that. I use should loosely as we see what happened tonight.
-
Yep, poor effort coming off a 2 day break. Chicago's a feisty team, but you can't lose to them especially when they only get 16 SOG. Passing and energy level were the suck.

This....wash, rinse, repeat. Hurney ain't around any longer to point the finger at. He helped get us here, but now it's on the new regime.

Rusty also represented Roger Clemens if I am not mistaken. He's legit. -
Are you telling me that instead of throwing up hail mary's at the end of games we could have been kicking Hajrullahu's? Damn it.....

Hurricanes Vs. Blue Jackets Best of Four Series 3/18-3/25
Rocky Davis replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Fourth line was grinding tonight TBH, they played hard. We definitely aren't as complete as we could be, and even then I am still worried about this team when it comes to playing other physical teams. The BJs aren't the Bruins, but they are probably the most physical team in our "division" this year. -

Another tough loss. I knew we were toast when Svech had a chance to put it on ice in the SO and he missed the net...Laine then did what Svech shoulda done. -

No gimmie games in the NHL......we need to bring our best game every night or we'll slip in the seeding. I hope we bounce back tonight! -
I'm good we got my main target of this off season: Dan Arnold.
-
What if this a sign and trade for the Watson trade? /s
-
I don't know...according to the latest news FillerUpWatson might be a good choice. (Totally kidding)
-
Just terrible, prayers to Keyshawn and his family.
-
That's one hell of a nightmare!!
-
I didn't mean it in that sense, I meant "patchwork" as in this would not be our lineup if we didn't have all the injuries. I wholeheartedly agree that we have a talented farm system and a heck of a coach!
-
Another solid win, Dougie is starting to heat up. When this team can win with a patchwork lineup you know they are solid. Let's get the gang healthy before the playoffs though!
-
They keep kicking the ever loving sh*t out of that can down the road...possibly until they have a new coach and front office.

Turner was fine on his first contract, he got that second deal and promptly stopped giving a fug. If he truly wants to continue his career then he'll sign a "prove it" deal and play well...for at least that year or two. If he is fat and happy with what he's already made he's done....stick a fork in him and please don't bring him back. These types of guys should never get guaranteed money, hopefully FOs know this by now.
