  1. Dude, you keep up with that stuff way better than probably 95% of us. If that was the case, then it makes Snow's gimmicky defensive schemes seem so much worse. For Burns to have had any success in that (along with Chinn and others) is a testament to his talent. Let's hope whoever is DC next year looks at our personnel and goes with the best scheme. We can't expect Wilks to piecemill together all these disjointed parts.
  2. Oh now I know why you poo'd me @PanthersGOATFan336. I misread @WOW!! post and thought maybe Bozeman and TMJ had bad days (I wasn't able to catch the game live). I thought he was talking about them being indictments of Rhule's full control over the team. Now I see it was about Rhule not letting the right guys play a la Foreman etc. I agree 100%. Apologies for being dense.
  3. I could see Brian Burns playing OLB too with Chinn on the other side in a 3-4. Foreman has played really well the last two weeks and should have been on the field a lot sooner. Our offensive line is no longer a liability (can't believe I just typed that), and being able to run like we were today will open up the passing game.
  4. What other DE?? Guess that's the beginning and end of the discussion.
  5. I agree with this 100%. I said if we were offered 2 1st rounders as has been reported we should have traded him unless we were going to shift to a 3-4 next year. Burns is a terrific pass rusher, but teams use that against him and the Panthers in the run game. It's happened a lot. Love Burns the pass rusher, but he has to be turned loose when it's obvious passing downs or be given the space to make plays against the run in space, not engaged at the LOS.
  6. I think so too, but evidently @PanthersGOATFan336really had an issue with my post.
  7. What did Bozeman do today? I must have missed it. Also, Terrace is only in his 2nd year with very limited playing time. He may end up being a "bust," but he should be given some more time.
  8. PJ made some nice throws and he made some pretty bad ones too. He's probably a middle tier backup in the NFL. He does play hard though, the entire team could take a cue from that.
  9. Remember that Super Bowl when we tied the game only for Kasay to kick the ensuing kickoff out of bounds.... yeah me too.
  10. If we win this game we damn well better go for the division and the playoffs.
  11. TMJ has to get better at timing his jumps on fades like that. He doesn't have the size to be a conventional TE so that's a no go. Still hope we at least kick the can on that KC TE. I think he has some potential, but I wouldn't pay a lot.
  12. Foreman quietly having a really nice game, our O-line is smashing. Time for an Ian Thomas seam route that happens once a year and once he's touched he goes right down.
  13. He missed DJ WIDE ASS OPEN....that was 6-7 points missed.
  14. A little too much loft on that by PJ helped Carter out. It was a good play by Carter though.
  15. Maybe we can get Luke and Beau to play with Cade and Greg.
  16. Why does our staff have to be labelled as such?? My goodness man. /s
  17. We both have feline mascots?? Surprisingly we have one more win than Detroit!
  18. Well to be fair, at that moment in time, Trubisky would have been "free" to sign (no trades, etc.) and wouldn't have had a huge price tag. Interesting that Hurney and the scouting department really loved Herbert and hindsight being 20/20 it would have 100% been the right call. I guess Rhule got his way and that not being able to meet in person during the pandemic didn't lend opportunities for the scouting department to really advocate passionately about taking Herbert....although knowing Rhule he wouldn't have listened anyways. Also, who knows how Herbert would have looked on a Rhule coached team...guy probably is counting his blessings for being drafted by the Chargers.
  19. I understand the difference between a zone read and an RPO, but within an RPO you should have a mobile QB so that the threat of the QB running the ball is still there. Baker and Darnold are, for the most part, strictly going to either hand the ball off to the RB or opt for a pass. Also, neither have been really good about selling the run option for as long as possible a la Cam. PJ does bring a more mobile QB aspect although he is more of a passer than a running threat.
  20. I still think that Mitchell Trubinsky has a chance.
  21. Henderson has made some really poor plays and choices this year, but all those are amplified more than some of the pretty damn good coverage he has had at other times. I actually think he will get better under Wilks and if he'll start thinking about what kind of situation he's in, the clothesline on the receiver in the end zone comes to mind, I think he'll be a truly serviceable CB2. He seems happier here and he has played better than he did with the Jaguars. One thing that bothers me about both CJ and Donte is that they don't seem to create turnover opportunities. I rather see them get burned being aggressive than what I've seen the last couple of years.
  22. PJ played really well against Tampa. I will say that McAdoodoo probably called the best game since he's been here and most likely since 2016. Also, Baker was never suited to run an RPO offense and I have no clue why, again, we tried to fit a square peg in a round hole. Defenses would never honor the "threat" of a Baker run....
  23. Those two goals that were wide open for Svech would have given us the win.....6-5 because we wouldn't have had to pull Freddie. Also, if we were even a bit more disciplined and not gone to the box so much we would have beat Edmonton. Also, we should have beat Calgary too. Kadri took acting lessons in the off season and was "tripped" by Staal's skate laces and then Raanta gave up a terrible goal that tied the score at 2-2. Anyways glad to get 7/10 points, but some really bad luck for the Canes too.
