Or the QB can't hit the broad side of a barn. Misses wide open receivers deep, fumbles, throws ugly ints... could be that too.

Would you be willing to trade Chuba?
DeAngelo Beason replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd do Chuba and a 5th for a 3rd. -
It is indeed. Most of what gave Dalton fits is that he had 15lb rocks attached to his feet.

Happy birthday. Retire.

I can't believe I am saying this... I think (within the context of this past Sunday's game) we are a better team with Bryce Young on the field. If he had started I genuinely think that would have been a close game. His escapability was desperately missed. Dalton was utterly atrocious.

Is Canales digging his own grave?
DeAngelo Beason replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have preached patience with Canales and will continue to do so, but it is an absolutely fatal flaw if he doesn't but Chuba into the RB2 role. Rico Dowdle is the only chance that this offense has of being respectable. There are two ways this season goes down for Canales: 1 - Stay scrappy, maybe sneak into the playoffs if we run the offense around Rico, get a mid to low first round pick, attempt to draft more "support" for Young. This is actually a worst case scenario for Canales because he can't go get his QB and we are stuck trying to build the team around minime. 2 - Be who we thought we were. Trash. See Young for what he is, trade or release him, draft a new QB that is coming to a squad with a lot of offensive talent and let Canales really have HIS guy. The question is will Tepper have the patience to keep Canales on board if this is how the season goes. -
Speaking of revisiting trades: Brian Burns

David and Nicole Tepper were responsible for Bryce Young. That's just undisputable fact. -
Speaking of revisiting trades: Brian Burns

The Fitterer situation is funny to me. I recall defending his personnel decisions, particularly as it relates to QB, and getting flamed for it. Yet, sure enough, the two QBs he brought in are arguably the two best QBs in football right now. -

He has done absolutely squat up until this season. He's produced double digit sacks once. I'm perfectly fine shipping him if his ceiling is one good season for his entire career.- 94 replies

BREAKING: Panthers signing a new QB
DeAngelo Beason replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Former Bill.... espionage tactic? -
This is what happens when passes thrown in his direction are actually on target. Everyone is ignoring that Bryce was throwing ducks to him all season. They're finally starting to rediscover their chemistry.

Bryce's Achilles Heel Is Not What You Think It Is
DeAngelo Beason replied to fieryprophet's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers didn't see anything. I think Mrs. Tepper saw, and felt, butterflies. That's all it took. -
He is a textbook case of a young player trying too hard. Bryce wasn't doing him any favors with ball placement the first four games either. They are missing some chemistry that they previously had. Last year Legette showed tremendous upside while making some common rookie errors, and I think that upside is still there. He's got to get his sea legs under him.

Fluke. I'm not a believer yet.

Hey You, You Don't Know Quarterbacking
DeAngelo Beason replied to fieryprophet's topic in Carolina Panthers
I quit this forum for like 15 years and just lurked from time to time. I think it sucked even back when Delhomme was the QB. But it's pretty bad these days. -
If we could bring him back here it would be on the level of the Greg Olsen trade in terms of the future of the franchise.

This forum wrote the dude off completely after a couple games last year. It was hilarious. We have the most childish fanbase in existence.
-
Only way I'd do it is for a stud pass rusher or LB and I don't think anyone in the league is making that trade.

Dak puts up 400+ on us, we lose by 40

He's going to have two mediocre seasons and be irrelevant.
