Dream scenario for ending out the season
DeAngelo Beason replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not exaggerating at all when I say that if Bryce Young played at a pro bowl level this team has the talent to win it all. -
Dane Brugler’s panthers mock pick
DeAngelo Beason replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I actually think DT is an excellent selection. These guys can't get after the QB and are still very porous in run defense. DT addresses both of those issues. If we can strike gold and put it next to Brown you're looking at a devastating combination. -
Pookie bear Young getting his 5 year

This organization is nauseating. -
We played a brand of football that masks terrible QB play. With a good QB, and a turnover free game, we match them pretty evenly.

Tampa's remaining schedule
DeAngelo Beason replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mentioned this in another thread, but you're spot on. The only way I see us winning the division is to sweep Tampa and win at least 3 of the last 4. Highly unlikely Tampa loses to anyone else but us. The worst part is it looks like Mike Evans is coming back and he's taken our lunch money twice a year ever since Josh Norman left. Losing to New Orleans was an absolute catastrophe that put us in a nearly impossible situation. -
All it takes to make Bryce Young look good is to hand the ball off 40 times, force 3 turnovers (one of which takes away at minimum a field goal), and score a touchdown on defense. Canales is absolutely hamstrung by Bryce Young, period.
-
I pretty much agree with that statement. Unlikely but possible. It all depends on Tepper's blind loyalty to Young.

Just like the petulant children of this forum are giving up on Legette too soon, they gave up on Icky too soon... and now he's one of the best in the business. I preached patience with Icky, and I'm going to preach it with XL.

Playoffs!? You wanna talk about playoffs!?
DeAngelo Beason replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
The only way we win the division is sweeping the Bucs and winning 3 of 4. That will give us head-to-head advantage. If this scenario plays out both teams likely finish at 10-7. I think the Bucs win the rest of their games if we sweep them. Losing to NO was catastrophic. -
Absolutely no reason to rush him back. The O-line is miraculously holding up. Keep him in our back pocket for a potential playoff push. I don't think his presence will make enough of a difference at the close of this season to really push games our direction. It literally all hinges on Bryce Young being able to play at least adequately. That's all this team needs. If we get into the playoffs and Hunt is fully healed and ready, that's the time to bring him back.
-
I think Bryce gets the 5th year option picked up, but I do not think that means the team doesn't pursue an upgrade at the QB position through the draft or free agency.
-
I'm still on the Legette train. He's gonna be anywhere from solid to stud. He needs a little more time and some better play from the QB position.
-
He's got star written all over him. Dude was laying the wood yesterday.
-
It's an unnecessary hot take. Both are good. Chuba had the hot hand yesterday. Let's not forget Rico has had nagging injuries all season and yesterday started with him getting dinged up almost right away. When we had Williams and Stewart, Williams was (by far) the better back, but there were always those stretches where Stewart would get the hot hand. Rico is clearly the superior back, but it's good to have someone like Chuba who can come in and make plays when things are bleak for Rico.

Yet had it not been for some amazing plays by the defense, we would all be looking at this game saying Bryce Young squandered away some golden opportunities, like the pass that was too high for Tremble, or taking a sack on the long drive in the 3rd quarter. I'm glad he played well. I really am. But it's true that a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. Bryce Young is the primary party responsible for nearly all of our losses this season. I have no reason to believe that he won't come out and lay an egg after the bye.

Bryce's Achilles Heel Is Not What You Think It Is
DeAngelo Beason replied to fieryprophet's topic in Carolina Panthers
I didn't read what you wrote, but whatever you said, as long as it's negative, is correct, because every single attribute that a QB needs to be successful is one that Bryce Young sucks at. -
I felt that he made the Panthers worse when he was here. That wasn't necessarily his fault, but you actually see SF making the exact same mistake with him that we did. They become one dimensional because they feel they have an unstoppable swiss army knife. They feed him the ball too much. The entire offense depends on him being successful (and not getting hurt). If Carolina had a minutely competent QB at the helm we would have beaten the SF by 3 scores because all they can really do is give the ball to CMC, just like we used to. The compensation we got for him was really good, and had we used that draft capital effectively to grab someone like Stroud or Daniels instead of Young, people would be looking back saying we fleeced them and got a franchise QB in exchange for an oft-injured running back.

I'm not wasting my time reading this. Bryce Young is the fugging problem, full stop. No one can be assessed while we have this absolutely pathetic QB at the helm.
-
I’m not sure people understand how fuging bad it is
DeAngelo Beason replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
The game against Atlanta was magnificent. He still absolutely sucks and is a liability in every way conceivable. -
I can now definitively say that Bryce Young is better than Pickles.
-
Baker is in a sling…. The division is a 2 horse race!
DeAngelo Beason replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't see it happening, but it's borderline miraculous that we are playing meaningful football right now. Tonight is the biggest game this team has played since the Saints in the playoffs in 2018 -
If you told me that for the rest of my life the Panthers would sweep the Falcons and beat the Cowboys every season, I think that might work in lieu of a superbowl.
-
He cannot be worse than Bryce Young, because Bryce Young is basically as bad as a QB can be.
