For all you new-school fans: Do I have to say it?
DeAngelo Beason replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
No. In the new school NFL, a handful of perfectly timed bad calls wins championships. These refs know exactly what they're doing. They know exactly how to take the wind out of the sails that they want to take the wind out of. -
Totally missed this on ESPN’s IG

We would find a way to afford it. Dak can ball. That's all there is to it. If he can pass a physical, make it happen. -
Latest NFL.com mock has us trading up to #2 for Zach Wilson

It's easy to look talented when you're playing against high schoolers. -
Latest NFL.com mock has us trading up to #2 for Zach Wilson

As always, depends on what we give up. Trey Lance scares the absolute crap out of me. I really don't want us to settle for him. -
Very few people ACTUALLY have more luck than talent. Russell Wilson is one of those people. Hard pass.

I wouldn't be upset with Wentz for something like a 2nd rounder. I still think he has huge upside.

congrats to all the tampa bay fans and the tampa bay bucs

Helps to have refs with an arsenal of flags to give the opposing team for bullsh*t. Another piss poor officiating performance goes in favor of Brady to create the storyline the NFL wants. -
The SB showed us about having a solid O-line

....we still need a franchise QB more than anything. -
They rarely had to blitz to force huge amounts of pressure. That's what happens when you're missing 4 OL...

Turner/Boston admit that the refs screwed us in SB50
DeAngelo Beason replied to Mol3m4n's topic in Carolina Panthers
As soon as they started to talk about Mahomes' toe and how he "wasn't going to be 100%", I knew they were laying the groundwork for a fix. -
Mixon is just severely lacking in talent, period. He's probably a really nice guy and people have pity on him. I've kept guys around like that.

Dark horse QB option: Derek Carr?
DeAngelo Beason replied to FuFuLamePoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nah. He's got talent but I wouldn't trade anything significant for him. -

Almost had a stroke trying to read that trash. -
Sloths are great.

Would instantly, without hesitation, trade 3 first rounders, three second rounders, and CMC. Rodgers will absolutely be productive into his early 40s. Would be worth it to win a super bowl. At this point I just want a damned championship. I don't care if it handicaps us for a decade.

Two 1st, Two 2nd, 2 young players

Gil Brandt weighs in on Carolina QB options
DeAngelo Beason replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree. To me, with competent QB play the Panthers were EASILY a 10 win team, even without CMC the whole year. -
Heard of crippling loss. Crippling win???
DeAngelo Beason replied to Prash's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hell I agree. It's stupid to agree, but I do. Winning that game was insanely costly and everyone knew it was going to be. But I get it. The players play to win. You don't become one of the best athletes on earth by having the mindset of deciding when to win and lose. -
Gil Brandt weighs in on Carolina QB options
DeAngelo Beason replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly. He's worth a mid to late first. I truly believe that... but Carolina needs to get compensation for that #8 pick beyond just Stafford... unless Detroit would be willing to part with a 2nd and 3rd, but I don't see that happening. They are rebuilding. We need a team on the cusp who wants to move up and is willing to pay the price to do so. Any logical scenario would require three teams in my mind. -

A three team scenario with Carolina trading back to the 15-20 range to acquire, say, an additional 2nd and 3rd, then trading that #15-20 pick to the Lions for Stafford would be an attractive scenario. I don't think there's enough tread left on those tires to warrant a top 10 pick though. -
Mike Remmers will start at left tackle in the Superbowl.

Wellp. Bucs are gonna win.
