What’s your pitch to Aaron Rodgers to come to Carolina
DeAngelo Beason replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
"Hello Mr. Rodgers. I am David Tepper. If you come to the Panthers I'll give you three hot stock tips per week, and will cover your post-retirement CTE treatments if you sustain more than 12 helmet-to-helmet hits in one season behind my o-line." -
Do you think the guy who said CB is just trying to be a smartass?

Have you ever hated this team more than right now?
DeAngelo Beason replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
My answer is, unequivocally, no. -
LMFAOOOOO.... this is a neverending nightmare

Anyone on earth is an upgrade.

I don't think that's true. If he were in his late 20s or early 30s maybe, but he's got plenty of tread on the tires. He would be one of the best slot receivers in the entire NFL if he played the position full time. Plenty of teams would trade for him. Imagine how much of a contender the Bills become with a player like CMC?

A great deal of the issues with our o-line (and really the team in general) for years has been early season injuries. We address part of the early season injury bug by hopefully getting training camp up to Rock Hill this offseason. The Spartanburg heat prevents the players from practicing as hard as they should be able to, so the muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons don't get the same work during the offseason that players in a climate controlled location does. Sounds weird but it's actually a legit problem. Then we draft best offensive lineman available with the 6th pick. This can truly be anyone, because every single position on the line could use either an upgrade or depth. Move Brady to LT, get Deonte in at either guard spot. Trade CMC for a 2nd round pick and pray to God we strike gold with a QB in the 2nd round.

Per Ellis/Glazer Rhule not exactly “safe”
DeAngelo Beason replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think any top notch OC is going to want to work under a little piss ant like Rhule... especially considering how he relentlessly trashed everyone BUT himself at the podium after every game this season. Turd. -
2022 Draft order updates: Top 16 set
DeAngelo Beason replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Terrible QB class this year, so forget about that. Gotta be o-line. It's going to be harder than ever to trade down because of the lack of talent at QB this year. -
The Raiders were a pretty good team when he inherited that role. I wouldn't say he's THE reason they've kept going. He's definitely been a part of it, but that team was really primed for success already.

We have the worst record in the NFL since the 3-0 Start
DeAngelo Beason replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yup. The meaningless games we have won have cost us literal franchise-altering players. -
I have been checked out most of this season. The first few games were fun but I've pretty much thrown in the towel. I hate to be "that guy", but unless they are winning games next year, I'd much rather use what precious free time I have to do things that make me happy.. My golf game needs work.

There is virtually no justification in hanging onto CMC. He is an obvious trade candidate given his injury issues and his enormous salary. Even with his injury issues I still think we could net a 3rd and 5th for him... possibly a 2nd and 4th if we find the right team that's desperate. Burns is an actual difference maker. Trading him makes very little sense and would dramatically harm one of the only bright spots we have on the team.

Panthers taking offers for Cmac in the off-season
DeAngelo Beason replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
Either trade him, or completely rework his deal and move him to slot receiver. A 2nd or 3rd rounder is all he is worth with his pathetic durability. -
Trade out of 6 or trade away a player instead?
DeAngelo Beason replied to Reebis21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Trade CMC at all costs. That gets the mid round picks back and frees up the cap space needed to hang on to Moore. That's really all we need to do. -
No. No more projects.
