  1. I literally do not like Duke at all.
  2. The fact that no one knows what you're talking about when you say 143-115 just shows how iconic 40-25 really is, and is going to be for years to come. It's an historic embarrassment.
  3. In almost any situation I would say take that deal, but the time has come to land a franchise LT. This is a golden opportunity.
  4. Well, Carolina was flagrantly fouling the whole game with Bacot performing admirably at middle linebacker. The final two minutes when the game was entirely up in the air and we saw a phantom foul call on David, then waving off Keels and-one pretty much gift-wrapped the game for the Heels. Again, this is nothing new. Literally any objective viewer knows this happens in almost every matchup between the two. It's pretty bizarre actually. I've always called the Tar Heels the Dallas Cowboys of college basketball. Fans, media, and refs constantly slob on them for some reason.
  5. In typical Duke/Carolina fashion, the officiating came through to help the heels pull out a BS win. I'm not a fan of either team, or college basketball in general, but over the years of watching the games I have come to just laugh at how lopsided the officiating is in the matchups between these two.
  6. He's the best goal line threat in league history, and still is just as capable in that capacity. At minimum you could put him in the game within the 5 yard line.. assuming he takes a very team friendly contract. His days as a starter are over.
  7. If he can be gotten cheaply he'd be a decent pickup, but would never take us to the promised land. I still think it's pointless to invest in a QB until we invest in o linemen.
  8. O-line is the most important position group in football, period. It's time to build it. We have been complaining for over a decade as fans about our QBs getting blasted.
  9. 100% dead serious when I say that even somehow landing Aaron Rodgers would not make me excited. I have absolutely no hope for this team next year.
  10. I get it, but this team is doomed if they draft a rookie to play behind this line. Priority number 1, 2, and 3 have got to be replacing 3 of the sh*tbags not playing RT. I think Brady Christensen has some potential somewhere on the line. We will all be very surprised at how good this team looks when our QB isn't getting utterly pulverized. Fitzmagic on a cheap deal with a rebuilt o-line could at least make the team watchable for a year and lay the groundwork for a great campaign the year after next.
  11. Stop talking about QBs on this forum dammit. If Tepper comes on here and thinks the fans want a QB drafted and he actually listens to us we are screwed. OL. That is all anyone should be talking about or be excited for.
  12. I remember how much folks (specifically folks on this board) were thrilled when he left the team as DC, myself included. I honestly do think he would be a great hire at DL coach though. The guy coached up one of the greatest defensive lines in NFL history with the Panthers.
  13. Considering that 4 of the last 6 participants in the super bowl have effectively been super teams, I think mortgaging the future is pretty darn beneficial if the timing is right. For all the BS this board talked about the Saints nearing "cap hell" they were very competitive for several years while we were in the dumpster with all our cap space. Spend money to win. It's a game. If you lose you get to hit the reset button in a couple years and try again. We're hitting the rest button yet again after sucking for 4 years straight.
  14. O-line has got to be the top priority this year. Stafford is in the super bowl because he took his elite talent to a team that had some decent pieces built around him. He toiled for years on a piss poor team. Mahomes was decimated by the Bucs last year because his line failed him. QB is the most important position on the field, but those talents are squandered when you have a line as bad as ours.
  15. I would, right now, without hesitation, trade ten years of cap hell for one superbowl trophy to be sitting at bank of america stadium. I'd rather take it home with a beautiful woman once a year than settle for second base with a dog once a week.
  16. We just need to stop the bleeding with half-ass signings at QB and accept the fact that we have another season of suckage coming.
  17. I do not think any elite talent at the QB position would be willing to play for the Panthers right now, even if we did fix the o-line. On paper it seems that with some serviceable play up front we could be a strong offense, but Rhule is such an obvious piece of trash that I don't think anyone would want to play for him.
  18. Cam will be 46 and on the couch and there will still be members of this forum saying we need to give him a call.
