If Mac Jones is a young Matt Ryan is he worth drafting at 8? I would say yes. I would consider it if the other 4 are gone by 8.

Basically players who have been cut (with the exception of Everett) who won’t cost us comp picks and probably won’t warrant big contracts. I’m sure I’m still leaving a few out.
The only high paying player we will lose in free agency is Curtis Samuel so there is no reason to limit yourself to cut players only. It made sense last year when we had several high priced free agents sign. Not so much this when there are holes to fill and less players leaving.

Thank you for the insight. Did you happen to see him play at Northwestern this past season? If so, was there any improvement from the time at Indiana?
I saw him a little bit but it didn't change my opinion much. He is a smart QB that can run with very limited throwing ability. I don't think he can make NFL throws. He will probably make a great coach if he decided to do that because he is very intelligent and makes good decisions but he is not better than any QB on the Panthers current roster including Grier.

If you think Teddy has a weak arm and checks down too much you will not like Ramsey. Hes a good college player but nothing more than a backup project in the NFL. This is from somebody who watched every one of his games at Indiana. There is a reason they let him go to Northwestern as his throwing ability is limited.

Great news. This pretty much guarantees one of the top 4 qbs will be available at 8.

Falcons can have him.

Stafford for Goff would be ideal for us as it would likely take Detroit out of selecting a 1st round QB.

I'd rather have Newman after a trade down.

From Newton to Newman...

This week is going to be big for him since he opted out of the season.

Lance is Russell Wilson with size. Fitt should love him. He is my favorite QB after Lawrence.
-
If Ron plays Heineke the full game we probably lose. Haskins was awful.
-
What are your thoughts on trading for him? He is only 23 and has had some bad head coaches around him and still put up some decent numbers. He probably could be had without giving up the #8 pick. I'm curious how he would be ranked among the crop of QBs in the draft.

Fingers crossed it's just Fitterer following up on his "in on every deal" mantra.
You don't build a consistent winner by trading away that much Draft capital for one player when your roster is a shambles.
Sure you do if there is a 25 year old franchise qb on the table.

Seattle is in the upper half of the league as far as comp picks historically so Fitt comes from an organization that takes these in consideration. Panthers are in the bottom half of comp picks received.
Sea: 30 comp picks total
Panthers: 16 comp picks total

Thompson compared himself to Lavonte David. If he is we're in pretty good shape at LB.
-
Gordon. I would be fine with Gurley or Coleman though. Just think Gordon is gonna bust.
-
Tevin Coleman ran in the 4.3 range at his pro day today. I'll take him over Gordon.
-
Watch the Raiders take him at 4. Would be hilarious.
-
Gurley or Coleman in the 2nd if either of them are available.
-
The McFadden comparison is to his breakaway ability. Once he gets in the open field he's gone. McFadden can do that too. I agree he's more like Murray.Murray, yes, but he is nothing like McFadden at all in my opinion.
-
Some scouts have Coleman as the top RB. A cross between Demarco Murray and Darren McFaddenTevin Coleman is projected to go in the first 3 rounds.

Its time to move on from Hardy. I bet Getts make a run at JPP in free agency though. He will be replaced one way or another.
Samuel to Washington

No. We have signed way more players than we have lost. You only get a comp pick if you sign less UFAs than you lose. I believe we have signed all UFAs.
