He was being considered, but the spot just got filled by another guy. That's was the very reason for my post.
Getsy is going to Chicago to be the OC. I didn't see anything about QB coach.

Welp, that's another job Joe Brady lost out on. Rhule has damaged that young man's career. He'll recover, but it may take a season or two before he lands on his feet. He may have to go back to college or take a position coach job if he stays in the NFL. I hope he's not arrogant enough to think he's going to land another OC gig in the NFL right away.
I saw something where he may be getting the QB coach/passing game coordinators job with the Bears. Probably good for him. He takes a step backwards but if Fields looks good he will be an OC this time next year.

So it's looking like:
LV Raiders: Josh McDaniels (Should be announced today, Monday latest)
NY Giants: Brian Daboll
Miami Dolphins: Mike McDaniel
Denver Broncos: Nathanial Hackett
NO Saints: Dennis Allen
Chicago Bears: Matt Eferblus
HOU: LOL
Jax Jaguars: Byron Leftwich
MIN Vikings: Surprisingly haven't got a clue...

Lots of top names gone for when we fire Rhule.
I think the Vikings are waiting on former Eagles LB Demeco Ryans who is the DC in San Fran.
I am shocked Flores doesn’t look like he is going to get a HC gig. He's a guy to look out for next year.

Setting the stage for the first ever multi-punter draft.
Genius is brewing.
Don't give Rhule any ideas. There is a really good punter from San Diego State that will surely get drafted this year.

Remember when there were rumors that Trace Armstrong was going to take over running the Bears?
Turns out he kinda did
Edit: Also...
LOL. Does this mean the Bears are going to hire Brady as OC?

Drama much? He is a solid OC. Probably the best we could have done considering the circumstances. No top flight OC would come here.

Bye, bye #6 pick.
If they trade the #6 pick for Garrapollo and his $24 Million dollars for 1 year they are even dumber than I thought. Garrapollo is only slightly better than Darnold.

I wonder what his thoughts are on Malik Willis?
-
Get him out of here!

Speaking of coaching staffs look at who was on the Washington staff when they hired Jay Gruden.
-
Can he bring Jonathan Taylor with him. Lol. This guy was a terrible OC at Maryland and now he's gonna fix Rhules putrid offense.

I have seen this mentioned several times, and I wonder why it even matters.
It matters in the NBA. In the NFL not so much with the shelf life of players being much shorter. Burrow was an older guy as well.

Micah McFadden All American LB from Indiana Very good MLB.

Don't be shocked if it's Kyle Hamilton they take at 6. Burris is a FA and that would allow them to move Chinn to the role he excelled at his rookie year.
-
There needs to be some mandate that Rhule does not touch the 2023 draft picks. I am afraid he is going to use them to try and save his job.

If Flores goes to Houston does that mean Watson stays?

Is Mike Shula available? These candidates are awful , certainly not rockstars.

No...at 6 it's either Evan Neal or the center from Iowa.... right now everyone else is a reach.
A center at 6 is a reach. I don't care how good he is. Only take him if you can trade back and get additional picks.

Root for the NY teams. Either of those 2 win and we move up in the draft.

As far as the OC spot, if it's not Nixon (I suspect it will be, but allowing for other options) Rhule could still reach out to guys from his prior staff like Jake Peetz, DJ Mangas or even Marcus Satterfield.
That's depressing. He needs to hire someone with NFL experience. Not his college buddies. Problem is nobody with good NFL experience will want to come to this poo show

A key point is that we would mostly need to stay out of free agency. If we sign as many players as we lose, we don't get any comp picks. So the one thing we have to make sure we avoid is signing a bunch of JAGs just to fill out the roster.
Or players that were cut because they don't count.
-
We only get picks if we don't sign free agents as well so don't count on it. Any free agent we sign cancels out the ones we lose. We have to sign less free agents than we lose to get comp picks.

Vikings: Demeco Ryans
Texans: Not sure. McCown seems to be the frontrunner but he is not ready to be a HC. Not sure what they are doing there.
