Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
Verge replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
way too early -
I wrote an article evaluating just that! I thought you all would enjoy so I am dropping it here. As usual thank you so much for your support! Happy New Years https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2022/12/31/panthers-sam-darnold-starter-quarterback-2023/?taid=63b0ea72540f7d000143da26&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter

Steve Wilks has proved he has what it takes to be HC
Verge replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wilks has certainly been better about scheming and adjustments than Rhule or Rivera I think. I don't know that that is saying much, but there is a clear plan of attack in each game and a willingness to pivot. -

He has a history with Mike McCoy who is doing a good job as the QB coach down in Jacksonville. Could be worth a look. -
Had the opportunity to write up my thoughts on Wilks and his candidacy for head coach and thought you all would enjoy. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2022/12/13/panthers-steve-wilks-head-coach-week-14/ As usual thank you all for the support and no I don't get paid for clicks

Anthony Richardson declares for the draft
Verge replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd say he is similar to Allen and Mahomes coming out as far as arm talent and passing ability goes. He just wasn't used that way. His arm strength and ability to make off platform throws is incredible. -

What does this even mean? -

I think Richardson is much more developed than Malik is. He isn't THAT far off. -
Anthony Richardson declares for the draft
Verge replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it is worth noting that Florida did not use his skill set ideally and really didn't even start working with his strengths until later in the season. He certainly needs some development, but he can be put in a run first offense that takes advantage of play action and read option and succeed right away. He is not as raw as someone like Malik Willis was.- 609 replies

Had the opportunity to type something up on Matt Rhule and his collection of failed quarterbacks and thought y'all would enjoy it https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2022/12/05/panthers-baker-mayfield-release-matt-rhule/ As always thank you for the support, and I don't get paid for clicks

Scott Fitterer is our GM. He will remain as such. No new coach hates draft picks.
-
This is a valid question. I guess you hope to attract them with a top 3 pick and a good young defense.
-
It probably won't be that low. The 58th pick last year was Nick Bolton. Jeremy Chinn was pick 64. You find good value in that area of the draft. This is a clear offensive rebuild and McCaffrey was not apart of their plans clearly.
-
Handing 100% control over to a college coach from Baylor may have been a bad idea.
-
It's not a bad haul. Not the 1st they were looking for, but a pretty good haul if you are truly going into an offensive rebuild.
-
Yeaaahhh hard to think of anything other than a meme when it comes to Matt Rhule
-
Hey all I wrote an article surrounding Matt Rhule's legacy with the Panthers and broke down how it frames to our head coaching history. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2022/10/11/panthers-fire-matt-rhule-legacy/ What do you all think? Is he the worst coach in our history? I am curious if it is between him and Seifert.
-
Robbie probably gone, which is a chunk.

2023 looking hella sweet

Hi all! I had the opportunity to write about Frankie Luvu and would love to share it with you all! Very excited to see where the kid goes with this team, I think he is a long term solution at the position. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2022/10/07/frankie-luvu-breakout-panthers-defense/ (No I do not get paid for clicks)
