Another thing I will throw out there. I have been pretty staunch on Falcons loving Lance, and I do still think that is true, but if they do end up flipping to Fields as some people have suggested, a team is much more likely to trad ahead of us and grab him.
-
My mock draft is going to end up being wrong if the Lions stay put, because like I said in the mock, if they stick at 7 they are taking Sewell. Which super sucks for us. Hoping a team trades into their spot to take a QB.

Where's my check?

They should give me his job.

The jokes write themselves folks

That's his way of saying "I'm right no matter what" lol

I can totally see this. Newsome is as technically sound as they come.

Surtain is very well regarded in NFL circles and is a clean prospect. I personally have Horn ranked higher but either one at 8 is cool with me.

That's what he said on the Rich Eisen podcast. DJ is pretty connected.

For what its worth, Daniel Jeremiah thinks we are going to take Patrick Surtain.

Would the Panthers sign Lamar Jackson if the Ravens dump him?
Verge replied to SizzleBuzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is not Madden so it's not going to happen. -
Yeah probably.

Slater falling to 20 and us still not taking him is lol bad

A lot of people feel he is the smartest QB in the class, and the most physically gifted outside of Lawrence.
-
Trust me, there is nothing I would love more than to have Sewell fall to us. (Beyond Lawrence/Wilson magically falling to 8.)

Imma do Mac Jones https://twitter.com/AndrewTakesWs/status/1387109690182619143

Absolutely no one on this thread has implied anyone else on this thread is a racist. We are talking about the process itself and how the media/draft rooms play to it. Please do not misconstrue anyone's words.

Agreed! Watch the video.

This thread has definitely gone off course lol

I'm not one to call a fanbase racist (except Alabama and LSU) but the process of evaluating QBs within the media and in buildings does have some issues with it them are stemmed in non-conscious racism. Think about Cam, think about how many times you hear them question "football iq" and what color those QBs almost always are, and think about the buzz words that used to be used like "sophisticated QB". It's always been around, and it is getting better, but you can still see it.
-
Based in, not on. Not the only reason as well. You can call it what you want, but we see it every year.
-
I think we kind of have to do this. It isn't intentional racism, but it's still that. A stereotype of the position. Mac Jones' DUIs do not get criticized in the same way that Fields' off the field stuff does. Fields' processing time becomes a question of "football intelligence" when that label is rarely if ever given to white QBs. Here is my controversial take before I drop this and go eat lunch. Sam Darnold would not be in the NFL right now given his past couple years of play if he was not white.
