It was a very close competition, one of them not being at risk of COVID protocols certainly tipped the scales into a decision. Once they knew it was Mac, no point in having Cam breathing down your franchise QBs neck.

Eagles.

Definitely not happening ATM. Confidence in Darnold in the building is very high.

Always surreal when it happens, and always so sad to hear. We are all family here. RIP CosmoGirl and Jimmy.

Try "bird chewing through the $300 complete in box collector video game" sometime.

Texans now indicate Deshaun Watson is available for trade

I would personally take a break from this franchise for the duration of his tenure on the roster if we ended up trading for him. -

Makes sense. Three team race. -
Yep. I was told we loved Mac Jones. That information was incorrect I am past caring if you all believe me or not. I don't know what you think I would gain by just coming on here and lying. I had our draft board as 1. Pitts 2. Jones 3. Sewell 4. Horn 5. Waddle/Chase I still think that is somewhat accurate aside from obviously Mac Jones. I don't know where you get "threw 100 things at the wall from I was pretty consistent in what I put out there. I've already decided I will not be doing any of this next year during draft time, so consider this Watson drop my final piece from my friend.

In the coming months teams are expecting Deshaun Watson will likely settle and be punished to the tune of 6+ games. There are certain teams planning to make a move, and have prepared if this opening came again. (Adam Schefter reported something to this extent I believe) We are still one of those teams from what my guys has heard. There are a couple of teams that are trying to play it a little close to the vest given the framing of his legal issues. I am told Carolina, Philadelphia, Miami, and Minnesota are among the top teams interested and willing to give up their weight in gold to go get him. Now I know this is going to come with some political discourse, as it should, but this thread is strictly for this idea, and not about his legal issues. We have plenty of places you can discuss those, including in the tinderbox. I am not a fan of Watson, but this news is what it is. No real timeline for this to happen, but as I said earlier, teams are bracing for sometime in the next few months.

I recognize that last picture! I used to live right next to that Riverwalk! Good to see some Panther rep in Colorado.

This is so goddamn refreshing compared to the many years of letting homegrown talent just walk. It's the changing winds in Carolina, and that is going to come with a lot of winning in our future.

Moton isn't going to get Ramcyzk money. However, we should have got that extension done right after the draft. Boggles my mind how the Saints can just pay anybody and Hurney/Gettleman let guts like Norman/Norwell walk for being 'too expensive'.

He certainly has the potential. I just wonder if they shift him into the nickel spot this year.

Positions likely to be addressed prioir to opening game
Verge replied to 45catfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The problem is I don't think you can just go out and find a person to start at LT. It will be an inevitable rotation of finding out we don't have the answer there. FS is the biggest hole that is fillable to me, have to address it before week 1. -
Bell has had problems with every team that has had him on the roster. Reid has never had problems with players or ownership. The track records kind of speak for themselves.

This list is sily. 1. Andy Reid/Eric Bieniemy 2. Kyle Shannahan 3. Sean McVay 4. Sean Payton 5. Brian Daboll 6. Greg Roman 7. Bruce Arians/Byron Leftwich 8. Matt Lafleur 9. Josh McDaniels 10. Frank Reich 11. Arthur Smith 12. Kellen Moore Our boy is good and young, but he is not a top 10 guy right now. He will probably get there, but you can't put him above guys like Shannahan, Payton, Roman, etc etc

Oher and Remmers were pretty darn dominant and very consistent during the regular season.

Gross is honestly a pretty good comp for Christensen.

What happened to the last set of younglings again?

I had expected us to be in on Leno or Fisher, but there has been no noise in that regard. There isn't anything left on the trade market or FA market, which makes that position pretty much set. Are we really comfortable allowing Erving/Little/Scott/Christensen duke it out to protect our new franchise QBs blindside? What if that fails miserably as history suggests it will? I find it hard to believe our staff shrugged their shoulders at the second most important position in football, but here we are.

Mmm I don't think that was Simmons. Interesting though, I had not heard that.
