  1. While I was doing my ab workout today my 6 year old son did 100 sit ups! Proud mom
  2. He was exposed his first season. What a fuging waste of time.
  3. fug them Do it for u and don't care about what others think. Working out is the best, endorphins are addictive. Nothing makes me feel better.
  4. I've ate terribly the since Saturday. I bought baklava at the Greek Festival and ate all 6 pieces. I never do stuff that extreme and I had cookout on Sunday after the Panthers game since then I was in a downward spiral. But that ends today!
  5. She should do it! My arms started looking a bit too bulky for my taste so when I noticed it I just backed off a bit. But I love having defined arm muscles, much more interesting looking.
  6. So the last few pages got me thinking. Does anyone else here deal with criticism or half serious jokes about working out too much or being obsessed? I do, I wish people were more supportive about my hobbies and interested than critical. I don't criticize them for playing video games over 10 hours a week or watching tons of TV or whatever they are into. Also, I love Kale salads. You gotta rub the seasonings and dressing into the Kale it kind of absorbe it.

  9. I stretch before and after a work out for a while. I'm going to have to take the roller to my hammies and my upper calves. ouch
  10. I did a kickboxing workout the other day. I'm done with those. Every time I do those workouts my hamstrings are in pain for days. Also the hubby upped the calories and has upped the weights and it shows me like.
  11. Are you sitting most of the day? Are you cleaning house? I wore my heart rate monitor while cleaning on and you'd be surprised how many calories I burned my heart rate was between 103-130 while cleaning for a few hours. Sitting and lying down are stationary.
  12. I don't know why I"m shocked but I didn't really expect this. Yesterday I wore my heart rate monitor while riding a bike for 11 miles with my kid. I was going at a slower pace because he's only 6 but I still burned 600 calories in 2 hours. I was shocked. Couldn't imagine what I'd had burned if I'd gone at my typical speed. Then I played tennis for 35 mins and burned 300. (i played another 30 mins but I was mostly standing around and only burned 150). Anyways, I had no idea I was burning so many calories doing those types of actives, and I'm a 130lb girl so you guys would burn so many more. So get out there and be active with your family and you'll all lose weight in no time. Also on days like that we spend no money when we do those activities, unless we eat lunch out.
  13. He has a heart rate monitor, he's burning around 500-600 calories on the muscle days.
  14. He had knee surgery 3 months ago so not much cardio til recently. He's done some Insanity lately. Which seems to have helped strengthen his knee and help with pain they think is cause by muscle weakness. Other than that he's been doing P90X muscle workouts for the last few months including Legs and Back.

  16. Yeah Idk how they work. or if they work at all If i'm 131lbs I'm 17% body fat if i drop any weight I shoot up to 19 or 20%.
  17. I think he's eating about the same as you were. There are many days were I out eat him. He'll have 1200 calorie days or less sometimes.
  18. How tall are you? My husband is 5'10 and 153. What he's got is mostly muscle. I think he needs to eat more if he wants to bulk up his arms a little more. Any tips from all you lifters? He wants a bigger chest and a bit bigger arms. He's interested in a lean muscle look not real big.
  19. Well I've had a bladder infection followed by a stomach virus follwed by a terrible backache so I haven't worked out the last two days. I miss it. Hope to get back today. I lost 7 lbs in 5 days with the bladder infection and stomach. My stomach is inverted. Gotta eat some protein and get back at it.
