  1. Just finished an hour of intense cardio! Love that post workout feeling. So I thought I'd share a recipe. I love cereal and eat it too often. It's hard to find "clean" cereals so I made one. I used Bob's Red Mill Muesli as a starting point. It already has whole grain oats, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, and dried dates. I added shaved coconut, raisins and sliced almonds. I eat it with almond milk. it's very filling and super healthy. I mix it all together and keep it in a container so it's ready to go, quick and easy.
  2. Yeah age is a big difference. When mine was really young he liked to play in the kids area so I took him but then soon realized that he was getting sick from there because everyone would drop their kids off even if they were really sick. So i stopped working out. Then i found working out at home and it's been great. My kid occasionally joins in as well. The other day we did "The Challenge" which is a variety of push ups and pullups over and over again. He exchanged the pull ups for sit ups and did the full 30 mins with us. His push up form isn't great though. He did about 25 mins of insanity (at his own pace) the other week to "train" for something at school. I imagine when he is older he'd go to the gym with me...if they let him.
  3. Sounds like a good plan, you are doing what you're comfortable with and have set goals! I'm rooting for ya A while back I think you asked me to update you on what I thought about T25 Focus. I liked it a lot, there are two workouts that kind of made my feet cramp so I'd have to break occasionally but over all it was a fun workout that with a decent diet will yield results. I'm doing P90X3 right now which is 30 mins and am liking it too. There is a little more variety in P90X3 but there are some workouts that don't seem like real workouts like Yoga and Pilates. Working out from home works well for me because I have a hard time dealing with the guilt of not being at home with my guys.
  4. My bro got me the XBOX one for Christmas. I used the fitness app and did an insanity work out, it was awesome. though the XBOX was way off on my heart rate.
  5. I use to never eat breakfast. but now days I dont think i can handle it. I use to never work out and eat almost nothing. Now I work out and eat all the time. I wish I had the will power to cut out about 300 cals a day from what I typically take in.
  6. aw that sucks, i'd rest it. I love deadlifts but it's easy for me to tweak my back doing them.
  7. P90X3 came in the mail! Can't wait to start it tonight. My husband and I are contemplating doing the full 90 program together despite some ski trips getting in the way. btw he has been getting ripped. i'm constantly drooling over his bod...too much info?
  8. idk it wouldn't necessarily be rational. I wouldn't acted super pissed, i would just tell him I am.
  9. Oh that's good for a least a weeks worth of back massages, flowers, wine etc. jk I would be pissed btw i mean PISSED you didn't do anything wrong though imo
  10. I've found that working out barefoot is awesome. Most of my foot pains went away.
  11. Thanks for the heads up on the online shopping everyone I've done well working out during the holiday but as always struggling with food. I was doing great yesterday until my husband decided he really wanted sushi and of course I have to have wine with sushi. I need to do a better job with controlling my food and wine intake. I got sick a month ago and the congestion is still lingering. When I do cardio workouts my throat gets dry and hurts so I haven't done the hour long cardio workouts much lately. I wish this stupid congestion would just end.
  12. Went to GNC last night and stocked up on our Protein shakes. Good deals going on there right now. We also bought something called Lean Shakes. Anyone tried them? Honestly I'm not completely sold that protein shakes really matter let alone any of this other poo at GNC but we buy it anyways. I'm going to drink them for breakfast because it's fast. Kind of curious if anyone else has tried it. Strawberries and cream taste pretty good, 170 cal, 24 g of protein, decent amount of fiber, vitamins, folic acid etc.
  13. It was odd to see our D tackle so poorly. I think it highlighted how good they typically play. They weren't terrible on Monday night just not as good as they normally are.
  14. Little moments like that are one of the main reasons I love working out. I can easily carry my 7 year old boy no problem. Now should I be carrying him as much as I do is another story.
  15. Yeah I've seen that. The comments don't surprise me at all. Years ago I had a friend who was putting on weight rapidly. We were eating dinner she order fajitas and I ordered two tacos no sides. The waiter walked away and she said "you think I'm fat don't you, you should be eating more then just two tacos". I was in shock because I didn't say or do anything other than order my food. After a few more crazy instances like that I stopped hanging with her. Bitches be crazy. The only gfs I have left in my life are all very confident. Makes for less drama.
  16. The knee is great, can't even tell there was a problem. Stupid knees (glad they work though!) Thanks for asking
  17. Yeah nsaids and icing, though often I forget to ice it. It's not visibly swollen. I'm thinking it's either my knee cap, or my quad muscle going into my knee. I'm no doctor though.
  18. Yeah, it hurts a little with everday activities, but it really kicks in when I start jumping around.
  19. Me too. With the knee pain going on I'm just doing light cardio and upper body. I'm already hurting from this mornings workout.
  20. Coming here to vent. So my knee felt fine all day. I start my workout, finish my warm up everything is good. After the first two fuging moves my god damn knee starts hurting and feels shaky. I tried to push through but it felt weak like it wasn't giving good support to my leg so I fuging quit I HATE QUITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF WORKOUTS!!!!! and I hate when I have plans and they don't work out (yes i know i sound like a child) thats all
  21. Did max plyo tonight and at the end on the last move, my first diamond jump, I had a sharp pain in my knee, I screamed in pain and went down. Its actually feeling decent now. I hope its no big deal. I've got lots of ski trips planned. I've had a similar pain before in my other knee but never so strong. Anyone else get terribly sharp pain under their knee caps?
  22. I didn't work out Sunday, I didn't work out last night. I'm eating terribly and I'm feeling like a hormonal nut case. *sigh*
  23. Sounds fun even though Nickelback is involved. I just made a new workout playlist, its all house music, trance and dubstep. Getting ready to put it to use, Max Interval Plyo day!
