  1. Mannn... this dude CJ is it.
  2. Good news, but I'd feel a lot better if it wasn't Reich's scheme.
  3. And the fact that we have no run game, so it's a replacement for that.
  4. Brock is certainly better than Bryce, but you put Bryce in Brock's situation, with his coaching and his talent, he certainly looks better than he does with us.
  5. "Or strong implications." And this wasnt a defense of Bryce. A 3 game sample does start to paint a picture. It was push back against Dalton being anything other than what he's been the last few years because of one game.
  6. Trigger lol. No additional commentary is the problem. Coming to any conclusions or strong implications based on a one game sample isnt triggering, its insane. Did you see that kid Zach Wilson play sunday, he's pretty good. Not sure about that Mahomes kid tho.
  7. I don't disagree with any of this necessarily. I just don't think 3 games is enough sample size to say much of anything for certain. "Looking like a a horrible draft decision.." sure, but over a 3 games sample a lot of things "look" at certain way and then things shift. I suppose Bryce hasn't shown you enough to believe that he'll turn it around, fair enough.
  8. I see. I believe there's some top 5 pick types that had similar slow starts that turned it around. How many wow plays they had I can't say, didn't watch every snap, but I haven't yet lost hope in Bryce.
  9. I suppose this is where I differ from other Bryce Supporters. I don't think he has looked competent. I do think a large portion of our offenses struggles are due to him. BUT, I still believe he can and will be the guy. I think some start slow, and then explode, and some start fast and flicker out, and some start slow and stay slow, and some start off with a bang and maintain it, turning into a HOFer. I haven't seen enough to say he can't be our franchise QB.
  10. I suppose what reaches the "Wow" bar is different for everyone. The throw he made after dodging the defenders today was a throw like that for me. The TD he threw to Thielin in the preseason was that throw to me. I suppose that can be thrown out though since it was Preseason. But I certainly haven't seen many of them, that I agree. I'm just not sure what people mean by "wow". He certainly will never be a Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes type with the throws, but I never expected that. What I hoped he could be was a Drew Brees type, I rarely seen anything out of Brees that said "wow" though, he was just surgical and consistent. I guess a lot of this can be left up to interpretation.
  11. Why isnt that valid? Dalton looked much better. Im acknowledging that. Im saying that a guy whos been in the league 12 years looking better than a guy thats played 3 games, doesnt mean that the guy thats played 3 games will not turn into a franchise guy.
  12. This is an interesting position. If you dont know he's the guy immediately, then in your view he likely will never be #1 pick caliber. I feel like I can come up with some examples that oppose this view, but I would have to think on it. Hmm. Obviously him flashing stardom from day one is optimal, but I dont feel like that is off the table for Bryce.
  13. I dont see anyone praising him here since the games started (preseason, sure). There are just some that are saying he's not a bust yet. Andy Dalton has been in the league 12 years. He should look better imo.
  14. I wasnt around much doing the off season but it must have been toxic. I cant remember the last time at fanbase turned on a #1 pick so fast. Usually no matter how bad a player is, a fanbase would bend over backwards to justify the pick. The Jamarcus Russell's and Zach Wilsons of the world still had the advocates after a year of play and people are giving up on Bryce after 3 games?? My assumption is this is mostly due to heavy debate in terms of who the QB should have been in the first place, but now that he's here I dont understand why some are waving the white flag after 80 NFL throws.
  15. I haven't. But I dont know that I had that expectation. We knew going in his arm talent was average at best. What I wanted to see was off schedule playmaking with great accuracy. I've seen it. But not as much as I have wanted and he has still yet to adjust to the speed of NFL defenders.
  16. Well he often only had two seconds to throw.
  17. I don't view crying as no more a red flag than throwing a tantrum, or skipping a press conference or doing any of the things Cam was accused of. Bryce may bust, but linking his on field tears to some frailty of mind that's throws up a red flag, is as much of a reach as linking Cam's "emotions" after a loss to his lack of leadership or whatever dog whistles people were using at the time.
  18. Andy certainly looks better. I would like to state that the Seahawks is by far the weakest defense we've faced.
  19. Maybe the Saints defense is just really good.
  20. My suspicion is by the end of the year the Saints will be a top 10 defense and the Colts will be bottom 10. When Stroud faced a top defense in the Ravens they scored 9 points at home. Thats not to say that C.J. hasnt looked better. But the gap isn't big enough thus far for anyone to declare one better than the other, much less going as far as to say we drafted the wrong QB.
  21. Yes. 2 game sample obv. Week 1 was tough for him im assuming.
  22. To add proof of our WR problem... If my screenshot isnt clear, thats Bryce Young at the top left, which means, according to this, his WRs get open the least amount, and when they do, his accuracy in those rare occurances are high.
  23. I havent read the whole thread but having multiple first round picks affords the opportunity to trade up for a QB if our guy is out of reach.
  24. The only one's saying we got fleeced are people on this board. Perhaps we're a bit biased and thinking heart over head?
