  1. Good question LP. I think the Panthers thought they made the moves to address the OL and DL this past offseason but they were miserably wrong. This to me is what tells me these guys do not know what they are doing. Most could see the OL was going to be a problem before the season started so how could a highly paid NFL coach not see it?
  2. Adam Gase….Get Sam back to where he was with the Jets would be an improvement. LOL and yes I am joking.
  3. What makes anyone think he would stay healthy as a WR and/or playing in the slot?
  4. Not that Teddy was “the answer” but the offense looked significantly better last year. And he would have been a good “bridge QB” for a young guy to learn from. I bet Rhule did not like Teddy because he was questioning how the offense and team was being run and that is why he is gone.
  5. Tepper is a lousy owner. I think Rhule stays. Guess that means we all need to find another hobby
  6. What does this say about Tepper if this is out there and yet Rhule is still here?
  7. Regardless of what the Panthers do with Darnold, this team clearly needs to bring in several QB’s and let them complete. To me not having any QB competition for Darnold was as big of an error as trading for him. There were several affordable options this past offseason…. When a team doesn’t have a proven starting QB they need competition.
  8. Let's talk O-Line and solutions for 2022: Of course, we all want a new LT and etc, but is this realistic, and with this coaching staff does it make a difference: The 2020 O-Line was ranked 18 at year end. Okung played like half the games, and so LT was a revolving door of Okung, Little and Scott. LG was also a revolving door of Reed, Daley, and Schofield. C was mostly Paradis but some Larsen. RG was John Miller, and LT Moton. In 2020, the right side of the Panthers O-line with Miller and Moton was average to sometimes solid. Even with all of the changes at LT and LG, the Panthers 2020 O-line was clearly better than the 2021 O-line (not that the 2020 line was super great, but easily better than 2021). Latest rankings show the Panthers 2021 O-line to be 'near the bottom'. So, my question is why is the 2021 O-line so much worse than 2020? Clearly, Miller has taken a step back as has Scott and Daley. Losing Larsen, Reed, Schofield, Okung, and Little should not have made this much of a negative difference. Not that Erving, Eflein, Daley, Scott, Miller and etc are top tier offensive lineman, but I don't see how they are significantly worse than last year. Obviously, more talent is needed, but I am wondering if there may be a combination of several other things missing. In other words, maybe talent would not be enough to fix the problem. With the right scheme and consistency, this o-line could/should be significantly better. This would be a coaching issue..... One thing noticed is the Panthers have had a combination of 12 different starters in their 15-games this year. Some of this is due to injury, but much of it is due to coaching decisions. Consistency and scheme seem to be missing from this o-line. As an example, Gross and Wharton had consistency and were even were neighbors and carpooled together. Those two had mojo when playing side by side. Either the Panthers have not 'picked guys' that fit 'their scheme', or they are not putting them in a position to be successful. Too many changes....IE - Brady C has played, RT, RG, LG, and LT this year as a rookie. How can this be setting him up for success? Scott and Daley has also been moved around quite a bit. Even the best players are not able to constantly change positions. Again, Miller and Moton were a pretty good combo last year, but are not this year. With all of the holes on this team (DT, MLB, S, TE, QB) and with limited draft picks I don't think the Panthers will have the resources to completely gut the o-line and start over. And if scheme, consistently, and coaching is contributing to terrible o-line play, new talent will not make that much of a difference. I truly believe some of these o-line guys are salvageable enough to be adequate...clearly need a stud C and LG as maybe, just maybe Brady could be an avg LT. BTW - Rhule has made a complete mess of this 'rebuild'. The QB situation could not be worse but that is another topic, but unfortunately related to the o-line.
  9. The Panthers also let Daryl Williams walk and he is the starting RG for the Bills. I thought they gave up on him too early after his injury and apparently they did.
  10. Rhule should be fired as he has clearly shown he is not a competent NFL coach. If he is not fired, my guess is he has convinced Tepper year 3 is the magic year as it was for his Temple and Baylor teams. I am not impressed with Tepper at all.
  11. I don’t think the Panthers could have made a worse mess out of the QB situation. I mean they are stuck with Sam next year so you might as well play him.
  12. This was also 32-years ago when Jimmy went to Dallas. The NFL has changed a lot since then. And yes, Rhule is no comparison to Jimmy.
  13. QB options are limited. Let’s just run the Wildcat or the Wishbone next year so we don’t need a QB.
  14. John Fox inherited a 1-15 team and had a respectable 7-9 record his first year with Rodney Peete as the QB. His 2nd year, Hurney brought in Jake and they went to the Super Bowl. This Panthers team has some talent but it is hard to see with the college coaching staff.
  15. Every Panthers QB has looked terrible this year. Clearly it can’t be just a QB issue. And the worst part is the Panthers have good WR’s.
  16. #75 for the Bills is their starting RG. Another former Panther that could/should still be with the Panthers. Guaranteed to be better than any other guard the Panthers have trotted out the past 2-years
  17. Rhule is convinced next year will be his big successful year with the Panthers because it is year 3. And year 3 is when he was successful with Baylor and Temple…LOL. Apples and oranges comparing a college program to the NFL. Plus if I am not mistaken he never sustained that success In college because he bolted in year 4.
  18. Remember 2018 is when Tepper bought the Panthers. It has been all “down hill” since. He is going to lose his fan base if he has not already. Maybe his soccer team will be successful
  19. Maybe Rhule should have holding the DBO sign to help
  20. Nixon is OC for 5-games and that is it. This move looks like desperation. Firing Brady needed to be done but it did not fix the multiple problems this team has. Rhule should be fired just on how poorly the QB situation was handled. A rebuilding team giving away valuable draft picks with little value in return is another fireable offense.
