My god yesterday was worse than Monday. I've never seen so many people in our gym. I passed Joscott around 7 as I was leaving and he was coming in and it was still crazy. The other issue is that the majority of the new people are young (16-24) douchebag types. Also, deodorant must no longer be popular with that age group.

I been trying to leave here a little early, but it doesn't help much... I'm hoping they'll all lose interest soon, but it'll probably be into Feb before that starts to happen.

Yep you're right... now that I've gotten into it I'm hooked... 410 x 4 then 460 x 1 yesterday on the DL. Might try 500 next time. The 460 wasn't that bad... the first 8" off the floor is hard but after that, it came right up easy peasy.

Was looking for some deadlift related workouts earlier and found this... http://muscleandbrawn.com/strong-strength-standards-raw-natural-lifters/ Some interesting info as I'm getting more and more into powerlifting. Was surprised to see where I'm at on the charts...

Flu sucks man. Get rid of that poo. I still have a sinus infection I think, but I don't "feel" sick otherwise. Chest day today so I doubt I'll be doing any declines. Deadlifts and squats always make me dizzy after a set anyway, esp if I'm going heavy.

Being sick sucks when you're wanting to hit the gym... I've been fighting a head cold for about a week and a half now off and on. I think I've managed to get over it mostly... Airborne ftw!

Yeah, certain parts of mine always get sore and some never/rarely do. Chest always gets sore, so do my quads... every once in a while my lats will get sore, but usually not for long... Shoulders never do, but on occasion my traps are. Joscott and I did a tricep superset at the end of shoulders and triceps last week and my tri's were sore for 3 days.

Haha, that's awesome... I did a new leg machine last week, works more hams/glutes and I didn't want to sit down or stand up the next day. That sucks.

That doesn't bother me too bad on the flat bench... I've recently switched to a more power lifting type of press, keeping my elbows in a little more, but I get a stretch on my pecs either way I do it. I've been doing more incline dumbbells than flat dumbbells for two reasons... it's harder to lay down with the dumbbells now that I'm up fairly heavy (I usually start with 75s and do four or five sets up to the 110s), and the way our gym is setup now, it's so crowded in the dumbbell area, I'm scared some asshole is going to knock one out of my hand onto my face. With incline dumbbells, and I keep the incline fairly low, like the second notch on the bench which is probably like 20* or so... and I can kick the dumbbells up with my knees and it's easier on my shoulders...

When I'm lifting, which is really all the time now, I'm so hungry it's crazy. I try not to eat late at night so by the time I wake up, I'm starving.

Nice! Dumbbells are an excellent way to do this. They work a lot of the smaller stabilizer muscles that you use for balance while still using the larger muscles as well.
