  1. OK yeah... right now with all the New Years resolution people it's pretty crowded between 5 & 6, but clears out after 6 pretty good. That'll get better in February... If you come by let me know.
  2. Did the reverse pyramid sets with back. Same results with no pain this time... Started with seated pull downs, jumped up to the max I ever do after two warm-up sets and went down from there. Big pump in my late, that's a great workout, esp when you're in heavy mode.
  3. The hookup isn't the issue... the money is... I have a tri monitor setup here at the office with my main workstation... but it's not as cool as those other ones...
  4. What creatine did you get? I've been back on it for about a week now. Also, I found some Danon Greek Cherry yogurt that is the bomb. 12g protein per pack. I eat it about an hour before I workout. Thanks! My chest is finally not sore... but today is back day. I killed my traps yesterday... they're as sore as they've ever been.
  5. This is true... I've often wondered how many people have dropped dumbbells on their face whilst bench pressing.
  6. Good on you... I wouldn't get poo done at home. Too many distractions and excuses.
  7. If anyone is interested, I just found a file dump with a TON of epub's online. Every author I could think of is on there... I loaded up. PM me for the link.
  8. Which one? I would not describe any of the Golds as "sketchy" and the Long Leaf one has definitely improved... some new equipment, etc. It's just not "great" by any stretch... It fits me bc it has a large free weight area and it's literally halfway between my office and house.
  9. Well its probably gonna depend a lot on your definition of good. The WAC is pretty nice but expensive. I'm not a fan of Planet Fitness, But that's just me. I have a Golds membership and usually go to the Long Leaf gym. I would describe it as just OK, nothing special. It's on my way home and so it works for me. Their Racine gym is much nicer, and so is Porters Neck, but I know Racine is usually pretty crowded. Never been to, or heard anything either way about O2 at Mayfaire. I hope that helps.
  10. Man, ima tell you what... That reverse pyramid chest day Thursday has thrown me for a loop. I did legs Friday, cardio and abs yesterday and I was supposed to golf this morning with my dad but he's down with his back so I went to the gym and did shoulders and I'm STILL sore from Thursday. Unbelievable. Must be those reverse pyramids. I had to basically just do traps and rear delts today to avoid my upper chest and front delts...
  11. That, and my shoulders just suck.... plus I'm old.
  12. That's quite the coincidence that your fav bar is next to your gym there JR.
  13. That's basically what I did... just not quite as much warmup, which may have been the issue... I think I need to do some pec deck flies or something to stretch out a bit... but otherwise I did almost exactly what you said with slightly different weights... 4x275, 6x245, 8x225, 10x185 and I was wore out.
  14. Yes, I'm interested to see how it works when I do back.
  15. OK, I tried this yesterday... it was chest day and the every other one where I do flat bench, so I started with that... I did two warm up sets of 12 at 135 and one set of 4 at 225 just so I wouldn't just jump onto heavy... I rested for like 4 minutes and jumped on 275. My shoulders did not like it. I did it anyway, and went down from there... did some dips, some decline presses and some incline dumbbells, all heavy, and I'm sore as a mofo today. So idk if it was those reverse pyramids or just the fact that I went heavy on everything... but my shoulders weren't happy jumping straight to very heavy like that, so I may avoid that in the future. I might try it next week on chest and start with incline dumbbells and see how those work with that. Doing legs today and Back tomorrow, I may try it with back and see how that works. I think starting on the flat bench with it just didn't work for me, but I can see how it's a good pump. It's almost like doing negatives.
  16. OK... extra small for MPF and extra medium for Jase... who else? PS- Not responsible if there happens to be a picture of a really hot blonde with big tittays on the back.
  17. My wife has to often wear two sports bras when she's gonna run... keeps those puppies in place. I keep telling her that a smaller one would be tighter thus work better.. idk if that's the same guy or not... it's possible. He was already in decent shape in pic #1, so it's not out of the question. Could also be some photoshopping... Xtra Medium... coming up. Working on a proposal now, soon as it's done I'll make a T-shirt design.
  18. Yeah, some times life gets in the way of stuff... I've been fortunate that I've been able to go so often. My work allows me to leave at a reasonable time and the gym is on my way home... plus I've got my kids to start meeting me there too so they're getting into it a bit. My wife is working on it... let's say. A t-shirt is a great idea.... and a really tiny sports bra for MPF.
