  2. Well, very generally, lift a lot and eat a lot. I would concentrate on heavy compound lifts... squat, deadlift, bench, overhead press, pull up/down, etc. and avoid isolation type stuff (bicep curls, etc.) Do those things maybe 3 days a week and do basketball related (explosive type) exercises the other days. Eat a lot of protein. Protect your knees if you're trying to put on that much weight and then play ball.
  3. You guys doing well? My back and ass is sore today after working out with Joscott yesterday... no, not that Jase... Deadlifts... Set my new personal record at 475 x 1. Wanted to try 500 but was too chicken... should be able to do it next time. I need to get some stickem or something... I did 405 x 2 pretty well with no straps, but couldn't do 455 unstrapped, bar kept slipping. Had to strap up to do 455 and 475. One of the beasts in our gym was squatting near us and he showed us good form on the sumo deadlift. I'm sure my inner thigh and groin will be sore later today from that.
  4. Looks like we're going to get one of those weird coastal snow storms... I've seen models that show as little as 2" here and as much as 12" and more... Could get interesting around here for the next few days...

  10. I'm actually taking a day off today. Since it's been cold for the last month I haven't been playing any weekend golf, so it's been the gym pretty much every day. Might go home and watch a movie or something. Joscott and I plan on hitting back hard tomorrow right, right?

  12. There was a gap there, from about 9-12 where they don't really fit in the kids care and they can't workout either... My oldest is 18 now (he's more interested in other things so he never goes) and my youngest is 13 almost 14. He'll go with his mom and do cardio... I haven't really pushed him to workout and lift with me yet because I feel he's still a tad young for it... if he's interested this summer he can though.
  13. I would workout at home, but I don't have the necessary equipment and I probably would have a harder time getting motivated. Our solution to that has been to take the kids with us... of course ours are a little older.

  15. Kurb, I can get u in at Gold's for at least a week for free... come hit it with me and J Saturday. Yes, Monday is ICD, International Chest Day.
