  1. Yeah, that's weird, I wonder why it's different like that? I don't feel it on my head/face at all.
  2. BA doesn't bother me... but that's me. I don't feel it on my face... I get tingles down my arms... and I like it... I know Cat said it makes her feel crazy. I'm on Optimum Nutrition Pre atm and it has half of that in one scoop, honestly I could stand some more.
  3. I don't got much for you then... pretty much all the ones I use have caffeine. I start my workout at 5 most days, so it's not an issue for me... sorry.

  6. I've had several people come up to me in the gym and tell me to be careful and whatnot... If you're doing them properly they are perfectly safe, even at heavy weight. Keep working it man... do some sumo lifts, work on your leg press and squat and your lower back... all those will help your dead.
  7. I've considered it... I could sure as hell do a better job than those yoyo trainers in my gym. Hell, I been "training" Joscott since June and he is now a beast. Didn't say what I was training him in tho...
  8. OK so deadlift day... and for as busy as it was Monday, it really wasn't very crowded yesterday... I'm over near the squat racks, and there's one guy squatting while I'm deadlifting... I do like 4 sets and I put 405 on the bar... I'm getting ready, put my earbud in, put my chalk on and am turning around to do the set and the guy that was squatting is trying to ask me a question.... so this should have been a clue to me there... So I have to stop, take out my earbud and listen to him and he's asking how many more sets I have... So we talk and he's like, well, I don't want to (yeah ok) go that heavy, so can you just leave 225 on it when you're done? I say ok, get reset to do my set at 405... do the set... and he comes back over... "yeah man, you've got pretty good form, but have you ever tried doing deadlifts with your hands both facing in wards, because I've heard of some guys tearing their biceps with the alternating grip like that..." So I explain to him why I do it that way, which is actually to prevent you from using your arms to lift, etc... he obviously disagrees... and tells me how he's actually a trainer, yada, yada... I finish by sets... and move the weights so that he can do his and just hang around to do some sumo lifts with his 225... So he lines up to do his first set... feet super wide, wide grip, weight way out in front... jerks it off the floor like he's lifting 1000 lbs... just all wrong... But, but... he's a trainer.... geesh... no wonder people are idiots in the gym... the damn trainers are idiots. People kill me.
  9. I have no problem asking or being asked to work in... most people do and it's cool. It's the 20% of people that has zero gym ettiquette and act like it's their personal gym to use and no one else is there.

  11. Yeah, I mean I get what he was doing... and some people workout that way, it's fine... but poo... there's like 200 people in there. You can't leave your stuff on a machine and walk away for 10 minutes and expect it to be open when you come back... I'm really surprised I haven't seen actual fights in there... so many alpha males.
  12. Story from yesterday... was too much to type on the phone... So me and my buddy are on the shoulder press machine... I see this kid come over, probably 19-20... not sure... kind of stares at me... When we got on the machine, there were already plates on it... we didn't think much of it, because as 88 says, most people just leave their poo everywhere... So he's like staring at me, and I just kept working out... Well we're about 3 sets in and he walks over and wants to know... "hey, can we share?" We're like... uhh what? You mean you want to work in? "yeah, yeah..." So we agree, and he sits down... After messing with his phone... he does a full set... like 20 reps... messes with his phone some more... does 20 more reps... messes with his phone AGAIN... then does like 10 more... He gets up (I was about to say, OK dude, gtfo...) and says, "OK, thanks..." and walks off There's like 200 people in there, and he's going around to diff machines, doing longs sets and leaving the weights on.... he had been giving me the stink eye because we had gotten on that machine while he was doing something else... People kill me.
  13. I was right, gym was worse than ever. So many idiots. I wouldn't mind if most of them had any gym etiquette at all...
  14. I'm headed to do shoulders, traps and tris right now... Gonna be crowded I'm sure... bleh.
  15. lol I did legs yesterday and there was a guy I know working out in there doing curls in the squat rack... I didn't say anything to him... but thought about it... Not doing chest today either... Mondays are nuts right now...
  16. Pushups work a lot of stabilizer muscles that other traditional chest dumbbell/barbell exercises don't hit as well...
  17. Doing 100 pushups in a row is no joke. Most I've been able to get is like 48... the burn gets to me. I usually do 5 sets of 20 supersetted with some abs at the end of chest day.

  20. I've actually surprised myself with the weight on the deadlift. It wasn't long ago that I just tried 405 for the first time. I've been pushing on bench, but I'm just not that strong on it. I got 305x1 on Sunday with Joscott, granted that was on my sixth set after also doing 135, 185, 225, 245 and 275, but I doubt I could do more even if I warmed up and jumped right on it. I'm trying right now to get to 1200lbs total combined on dead, bench and squat. So far I'm at 515 on dead, 305 on bench, and the most I've done on squat is 315, but I can get it 8x. Squats just kill my shoulder joints holding the bar on... the weight on my traps and back isn't an issue at all.
