Hanging out at the house with with some pizza and ice cold brewskis. My son is ecstatic about watching it together, and I'm taking advantage of that while I can. Going to be a good night!

If Drake Maye was in this draft would you pick him over Young?
Fenrir replied to ENC Pantherfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
With Maye's small sample size, I'd still have to say Young. His processing and feel for the position are incredible, especially for such a young guy. Maye has all of the physical tools, but I think he still has a lot to prove to be a top 5 pick. -
ESPN lays off employees, with more cuts to come
Fenrir replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
ESPN and bigtime sports media is dying. Content creators on YT and streaming platforms are the next wave. Disney knows this and I would assume these moves are to free up capital to invest in modern platforms/programming. -
Happy for Cam in anything he pursues, and I definitely want him to retire as a Panther. The joy he brought to the Carolinas and to the franchise were unparalled. That said, I think Cam should hang it up and doesn't need to back anyone up. He should enjoy retirement and the fruits of his labor and spend time with his growing family... That's true happiness anyway.

I can't imagine the amount Burrow will command...

Darnell Washington visiting the panthers
Fenrir replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah sneaky was a poor choice of words. I guess I'm just amazed at how little this TE class is being talked about in national circles. -
Is it time to take the Falcons seriously?
Fenrir replied to Ivory Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It all comes down to Ridder's development and if Arthur Smith opens up his offensive scheme. It was painful in how little Pitts was utilized and the playcalling was uncreative and didn't generate explosive plays. -
How many current NFL QBs would you trade #1 overall for?
Fenrir replied to panther4life's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like this format a lot and I think it adds to the discussion. Trade Exactly What We Did to get Current #1: Mahomes Burrow Allen Trade a true #1 Pick with no other capital spent: Lawrence Rodgers Hurts Herbert Jackson -
Albert Breer: Bryce Young scored 98 on his S2 teat
Fenrir replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Seems like all the smoke and a score like that would make him the slam dunk at #1. Going to be an interesting few more weeks. -
Darnell Washington visiting the panthers
Fenrir replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Like this guy's game a lot. This is a sneaky good TE class also, IMHO. Kincaid Mayer Musgrave Washington LaPorta Schoonmaker I think all have bigtime potential. -
All of this seems to have really come out of left field. I've not seen or heard anything about the kid that says he isn't coachable. This really looks like an attempt to get him to fall to another team who can't grab him in the top 3... Ryan Day needs to speak against this in full force if it isn't true.

All this speculation and all we get is a blue shade update. ROFL

One of the greatest players to ever play this game, period. His instincts and preparation were unmatched and he was a great athlete to boot. I can tell you this franchise has sorely missed his leadership and playmaking ability and it will be difficult to ever replace...

ATL bound?

I posted simultaneously with this and said all the same things you did. LMAO

Get rid of silver. Make white/black/Panther blue our colors. Panther blue is home Jersey, white is away. Have a matte white helmet as the primary with black helmet reserved for pairing with all black unis for prime time/big games. Done.

I'm trying to be objective, but his footwork and accuracy aren't awesome so far...

I think this kid is going to be a massive bust. He has all the physical tools and arm talent you'll want, but he doesn't have it between the ears and can't process what he's seeing well at all. I watched him play several times this year and it was infuriating to watch the misses and misread coverages. For his sake, I hope I'm wrong...
-
My contribution to this thread is that there is absolutely no way we draft this guy and that I think he'll be a massive bust in the NFL. His processing is terrible and he only has physical intagibles. We can bump this one day if I'm wrong and I'll eat crow.

No brainer if the Cards are willing to play ball. Something tells me they'll want more compensation than that, though.
-
I thought he threw well and had good ball placement. His WRs didn't help him very much and is something to note for sure versus Stroud. Stroud was surrounded by certified studs in that workout yesterday lol. I'm down with whoever this staff picks, and I think we're getting a great player regardless. Exciting times ahead!

Am I the only one that is excited about either one of these top QB prospects? I think both will be elite-level NFL starters, it just depends on what traits you look for that define the pick. I think we're in a great place with either one of these guys. Call me a fence-sitter but that's just my gut reaction to both.
