Already signed with the Giants

This x 1000. That and Brady deciding to unretire at the last second.

I mean it's a wise move on his part to talk to the teams. For a year, he's been persona non grata to all the NFL teams except us and the Dolphins last year. All the teams coming up now would want to talk so he should listen, that's being smart about your business. But no one will outbid Tepper at this point if it gets to that. I believe that the reason why the deal isn't done is because we are trying to not give up players and Houston wants it so now people who they were telling no to, they are now allowing to speak to try and force more.
-
If all these teams are being brought in to force Tepper to overpay, wouldn't it stand to reason that he has stood firm to this point on whatever offer was made to the Texans?
-
Not scared or worried. Still have him coming here in the end. Makes too much sense in the end for it not to be. How so? You knew other teams would get involved once they saw the bidding was going to get serious. He WILL actually be traded this time, and it will be to a team that both of them agree upon, whether its us or someone else.

Panthers close to deal with G Austin Corbett

Maybe they will finally move Deonte back to the left where he was a beast at his last season. -
Carolina Panthers agree to terms with Cam Newton.

I'm feeling great about it honestly. We may not go to the playoffs, but I know that at least the games will be more entertaining over the next 9 weeks. Watching Darnold was draining everything in me as a fan. Cam, despite how some may feel, is the de facto favorite of the majority of the fanbase because he balled out for us despite all the negatives that the team had and they grew up watching Cam be Superman. When he left, it took the heart out of a lot of fans because they started watching and following the team because of him. For him to comeback after everything shows the love he has for the Panthers, and I hope that he kills it in his return. -
Was a 7 year old kid who hated the Cowboys. When we got a team, my uncle got tickets for that season we played in Death Valley and was hooked ever since.

QR Week 7: Robby Anderson, Pro Football's Worst WR
roaddog96 replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Luvu has been surprising effective in the way that we've used him. He has been a bright spot this year. -
I'm on board. Tired of the losing. Tired of the approach that some fans want to take with draft picks thinking that draft capital is more important than real talent currently in the NFL that is a proven commodity. I want to see a SB championship in my lifetime and there is no QB's over the next 3 drafts that are that kind of prospect to turn down this chance to get a proven top 5 QB under 26 years old. Have a feeling the civil stuff will go away shortly after his trade is completed anyway, and I don't think the trade happens without conditional ties to the picks anyway so do it.
-
If we were devoid of talent, no one would be this upset. There have been moments for all of the players you listed (except Robbie). The talent we put on the field was miles better than what the Giants put out, and yet they scored and moved the ball. We had better talent than when what we went up against playing Philly. Both teams bottom of the barrel on D. Both lines this year is just as bad as ours. Weapons not as good as what we have. The gameplan to utilize the pieces we had has been terrible the past 3 weeks.
-
We have talent...we are not utilizing it properly nor are they motivated. Everyone has struggled, and I think that the WR's have no confidence in what we have at QB so they are just going through the motions. I think that they've probably voiced their concerns (Robby especially) at the lack of route combos. Drops were never a problem till Sam got here and honestly its been over the last 2 weeks specifically, which is when Darnold has wet the bed the last few games.
-
We haven't passed over 190 in any of the last 3 games. Let that sink in. With all the talent we got, that is absolutely unacceptable.
-
I don't think its that simple. When DB's are running the routes of the WR's 85% of the time, no QB is gonna be successful with that. Schematically Brady has been figured out. Has been since the Dallas game. At a minimum, he should be consulting with someone to give him a different set of eyes. He has no tempo with his playcalling, and he's extremely predictable with his calls situationally. The only thing that has made him look OK at times is having CMC when he's been available. The offense cannot lean on one player to be available in order to be functional.
-
Because we don't scheme for anything. There is no growth 23 games in. No sliding of protections or moving pockets. No misdirection. He got exposed in Dallas and in the weeks after, still has not found a way to change his tendencies. Any OC at this level at a minimum should be able to do these things. O-Line is bad, but most of them are in the league.

So you would play Darnold and PJ over Cam right now? You can't be serious.
-
Would you take Cam over what we have now? Because I would.
-
Brady needs to be fired. Today. Let Sean Ryan call plays from here on out.
-
At this point I honestly owe Cam an apology. Bridgewater too to a lesser extent. The ridiculousness of this regime knows no bounds. I made peace with the fact that maybe Cam was done but better days were coming. I know now that we made a mistake letting Cam go. If you can't admit that, then I don't know what to tell you because this cannot be what we let the best QB in franchise history go for.

I think that refocusing on the run actually is a good thing for this team. Crazy as it seems, they've actually done ok in terms of running the rock the last couple of weeks but we've abandoned it way too early in games when it wasn't necessary. Darnold should never have 41 pass attempts in a game and the play calling balance desperately needs to shift back towards 50-50. They should do more running with spread sets and be less predictable with formation to maximize this thought process if that's what they are thinking.
