If if were a fifth we'd all be drunk. We're not the only team to let talent walk and regret it.
-
I think he'd be better than what we have, and I think he'd be good for Bryce. Just that contract and what the Raiders would want. I'd really be hard pressed to give them anything higher than a 3rd given our situation.
-
Counterpoint: Sean McVay, a guy who was all of that eventually moved on from Jared Goff, and look at him now. That last point is true. Like deep down in all of our guts, no matter what side you're on you know we'll find a way to Panthers this situation.
-
The mock the organization that sold you that crock, sure. But many of us have accepted what this team is in reality: A team lacking talent and an identity, with a young QB we have to build around.
-
MY mistake then, I read the first line and rolled my eyes. But yeah as noted Stroud truther, I still really wish he was the pick, I just don't think it's worth sitting on "What ifs". I think we have a perfectly fine QB prospect. Why can't this be a 2020 Class where all the QBs are godo and have different playstyles?

So how deep are we going to say is "okay" Here? Because using Bryce's Week 6 chart We did get a 32 yarder, and in week 1 we did get a 40+ (which I don't remember at all) which is only 2 less 40s than Which is concerning, but also, given our offensive struggles and the fact again Teddy had the better WR core (D.j., Curt and Robby was a powerful trio) I am going to argue that Bryce would take mroe shots with that cast than this one that notably isn't getting a ton of separation. But more importantly it's only 3 less 30 yard attempts than what Dalton put out in Week 3. I am willing to lean that it is more of a cast thing than it JUST being Bryce's ability to throw deep. Also after typing this up and looking at (at least Bryce's week 6 chart) and what you've put here for Teddy, teddy didn't throw +15 often, Bryce is and over the middle too. That's the differences.
-
And this is the point of contention, this isn't just on Bryce. This team is bad. I don't think there's many who don't wish Stroud was the pick, but we have Bryce and many of us think there's things to work with and also this would still be a terrible situation for Stroud or Richardson. And also I think it's pretty unanimous Fitt poo the bed and should be shown the door.

My brother in christ you are literally saying "if you don't agree with me, you lack logic" that's not something you can converse with lol
-
Listen man if u wanna buy into team fluff cool, great. Sometimes it works on me too. I reeled it back when our GM publicly said "Yeah we're gonna suck" before week 1.
-
Aaaaaaaaaaand we're back to hyperbolic have a good one.
-
Huh. fuging crazy. I think that 4th and whatever against the Bucs(?) where he threw it short to Samuel colored my experience more than I thought.
-
I would love to see the passing charts and for which games, because there were absolutely games D.J. had the greenlight on one on ones down field and Teddy just. Wouldn't. But even then, great, we're still comparing a 7 (?) year vet with a much more competent offensive supporting cast (two 1,000 yard WRs, Mike Davis) and a rookie learning in the NFL. And even then he's still been going over the middle more and more recently.
-
That's your problem if you didn't see him as a rookie. He's a rookie.

Yeah man you're right your reality is the only reality -
I'll still argue you can work more with "kinda inaccurate deep" than "Can't go deep at all" which is why I'll give any legs to the Teddy comparisons. And yeah the answer is obvious - he lost JMo. Nothing wrong with having an elite deep threat.

And that's cool man that's great, but why do you constantly berate people who aren't out of Hope? That's literally the point of most of these arguments -- we're hopeful our QB can improve with our bad team. Seen it with Tua, seen it with Geno, seen it with Jared. Why can't it happen to Bryce? None of the height issues have been a problem and "kinda innacurate deep" is much more manageable. Matt Ryan made it to a superbowl. -
Because he's a rookie. You're really going to compare an early practice with game 5 in his rookie season on a bad team then idk man. Nobody's saying it won't remain a problem but also even if it is...there's other things to bild around Bryce with? At least he CAN throw deep, unlike Teddy who couldn't and wouldn't?
-
Yeah okay see that's a hyperbole. That's false. Bryce has deep passing ability. but also Both Bryce and the Panthers offensive unit can do better to take more efficient deep shots. People combating putting all the blame on Bryce are just tried of arguing that it may not just be all on the rookie QB on a bad team.
-
None yet, but he's taking the shots and it's his...5th game? 3rd game with his only deep threat on the roster and we're a team with notably bad o-line play and provably bad seperation. Can he take more risks? Yeah sure but like it's game fuging 6 and there's other things you absolutely can build on. The fact that he is taking deep shots and they are relatively close give me more optimism than concern but like, heaven forbid if people say that.
-
No I get it, it is a common theme in his videos and it's worth discussing. I think it is absolutely worth a discussion if Bryce is accurate deep. But I don't think it's a Teddy "he just won't" situation.

LOOK GUYS HE'S STILL THROWING A HISSY FIT BECAUSE WE DARED TO QUESTION HIS GENIUS LMAO THE FULL REDDIT MOD EXPRIENCE THREATENING BANS TOO BECAUSE EVERYONE ISN'T AS MISERABLE AS HIM ABT THE BLACK AND BLUE CAT TEAM -
Are we having the discussion about his deep accuracy or his "lack of physical tools" to go deep? Because one is absolutely worth discussion and one is just flat out false.
-
Yeah Bryce is actually taking deepshots. Teddy just fuging didn't
-
It reaaaaaaaaaaaaally should be tho

I do think we've gotten most of the "Clearly better than us" teams out of the way. Guess it depends on how we look on defense after er get healthy and if Bryce continues to progress. We aren't gonna win poo without better line play on both sides of the ball though. We're absolutely worthless in the trenches.
