There are teams that would kill to have their first round pick produce 31.5 sacks in 4 years and be relatively health and here the huddle group think says "no paying him bad" because he's bad in run defense and in the same breath think a rookie Will Anderson will turn this defense around I swear.

i mean normally i'd disagree but Will Anderson isn't a Chase Young/Myles Garett type prospect. And sure, you can say that abt the QBs at the top of this draft but with our need for someone, literally anyone to throw the football competently and the fact that Will Anderson isn't that type of prospect. Yea you roll with QB at the top of that draft. If you're wrong at QB its still the right pick.

including the bears lmao Nobody was wrong abt Fields. He's a guy who stood in the pocket and wanted to take deepshots but was an electric runner. He's upside and work ethic were reported by a lot of people, but he's been exactly what everyone thought he would be so far. Surprise! When he started running he found more success, and nobody is surprised by that at all. That doesn't take away his flaws. There's literally nothing to indicate he's matured as a passer yet -- and yes I know the bears supporting cast and coaching staff is abysmal but counterpoint so are ours lol -- but I'll happily eat crow if he does so. I rly liked Fields' arm talent coming out of college and I liked him more than Zach "Jake Locker" Wilson. I really don't get why be mad abt Fields but it's not abt that u just wanna be smug and right when we all know evaluating QB success is impossible in the nfl.

Burns is still our best pass rusher and one of the leaders on Defense. We need help at both LB and Edge. Not only is there no competent threat across from him there's literally no depth to spell him or wear out the o-line.
