  1. Don't know cap numbers but Lamar is exactly the type of prospect Snyder likes to throw money at so ppl forget he's the owner.
  2. this is my fear i rly dont want to hurt ourselves over foreman
  3. Great blocker, very very good receiver. Watch him block. Voch Lombadi put it best:[In terms of where he positions himself] "He's up there with the guards." Plus it sounds a lil sexier than saying "He's a FB with the ability of Marshawn Lynch."
  4. I wouldn't mind him (or JSN) at 9 if the QBs are gone. If here were in this draft with Barkley, CMC, Fournette, Zeke, and (Even if I think he's the most talented of the ones I listed) Gurley, he'd still get drafted ahead of all of them. He's a TE at HB and for an offense that needs playmakers, you could do worse. Question is how much the whole "nnnnnngh no HBs in the first" type of guy you are.
  5. this is honestly funnier than it should be phobias are logical, so i feel bad for him but...how dude
  6. lol he's not lasting to the 2nd. I'm not even a big fan of his but Combine sealed him up as a late first at worst. Combine has me crushing on Adetomiwa Adebawore. 6'2, 280, 4.49. Decently long arms and 27 reps too. Raw as hell but you can't teach that size/speed combo, hard to imagine a better project to take over YGM's spot.
  7. I can name quite a few offenses that I could argue and likely prove wouldn't have looked as good or made it as far without the skills like a DHop, Gronk, Kupp or Julio provide. The gravity of those players if you don't have a hitman to take that player out of the game is talked abt, but it's hard to see on film because all it takes is a second of hesitation for a well schemed offense to use that gravity. I truly believe that having a true #1 WR is a valuable to a passing offense be it at TE, WR, and as we experienced even a very capable HB. And while I think what the trends defenses are leaning toward dictate what makes what WR skills pop more in any given season, having a guy you know you can line up at X Y or Z (or any combination of those) and do anything for you offense, or do something at an unguardable level is an understated weapon that is worth the value if you have the pieces in place. Contracts are whatever. As long as that player produces somewhat it's comically easy to move skill position players in the NFL. And for every Megatron and Moss that don't have rings there's just as many Rivers and Lucks who don't as well. Situation matters. Goes for paying them as well.
  8. I also want to say I think we're selling too low on D.J. here lol. He's a low end #1 - High end #2 and the value we have him at is nuts rn.
  9. I agree with this with one addendum: You pay the Julios, the Megatrons and the JJs of WRs in their prime, we've seen far too many times an Elite WR and even a Good QB is enough to carry a bad offense. The biggest issue is IDing when you have a JJ and when you have a DJ when it comes time to putting pen to paper.
  10. I mean, I know this happens where the bar is reset for positional value and all but boy oh boy, WR2 is pricey lol. How do you think we should address WR2 moving ahead?
  11. We can have our cake and eat it too. Why not? "Wait so he's the best candidate and we can get picks? Sign me up!"
  12. 3-4/4-3 rarely happens. 3-4 DB sets matter more and more, and most defense just use designated packages with heavy lineman when they want to stop the run. In that regard, I do think we need either an established NT or an UT type of guy so we can have DB do the opposite. I like our depth otherwise, solid rotational guys. Honestly, I feel like we have a lot of "Batmans" on defense but no Robins to compliment them atm. Dontes questionable when he returns after his injury and the edge across from BB is well noted.
  13. He has the most interesting pre-draft to me. The reason I say predraft is because let's say the Saints miss out on Carr, miss out on Rodgers, Miss out on Lamar. Then I can see where people start slotting him at 29 sooner rather than later. Or say the Giants only tag DJ, no long term deal, you can see that being 25. You could then make a case for 23 to Minn, or 19 to TB, 16 to Washington. You can see where I'm going with this. This is all hypothetical, but I can see him having a Ponder-esqe rise if he kills it pre-draft. Dude's tape shows the ability to make any throw and he has the ability to thrive in chaos. Age doesn't matter if dude can ball at the most important position. Don't get me wrong, he infuraties me how often he'll break a pocket because he doesn't trust a window schemed open is right, but honest I think he's more polished as a passer than Fields coming out, and I think he's miles better as a passer than Richardson or McKee. He's what people thought Corral was last year pre-draft, imo. Age is the only thing holding him back and I really don't think that'll matter with the hyperfocus on rookie contracts, he'll be 29 when it's time to consider his 5th year option. E: I also want to add, I'd hate the pick at 9, but this draft is weird and I've seen weirder poo. I'd think even if best case pre-draft happens for Hooker, we could trade just out of the top 10 and get some value before reaching. But I do see a way where he doesn't make it out the first, I really don't know if there's 25-30 players better than Hooker this draft.
  14. He's been...ugly this year to say the least, and honestly he might be more Gase than Shula.
  15. He required CPR, so this is normal. Anyone receiving CPR has to be intubated. The best new information is that he's alive. Please don't take this as new information as to his current condition.
  16. Yeah like, I'm not saying C.J. is good but 1 - He should not be on an island vs Mike Evans (nor Keith Taylor) 2 - We have no pass rush that isn't started by BB or a blitz. We got hit with the injury bug. Happens. Look at teams liek Ravens, 49ers and Chargers in the past.
  17. Called it in the prediction thread, our secondary would be the problem and wouldn't you know it, they were. People'll find a way to blame this on Sam but when you have pressure on the edge and interior what can u do.
  18. we find new ways to be cardiac every fuging year
  19. I don't mind the shot, gave his guy a chance and...Sullivan? just got bodied again. When he let it go I was hoping it was TMJ, he's our only real jump ball guy.
  20. We're not running the ball for the same reason we couldn't run the ball well against the Steelers Elite NT flaked by really solid LB play. Except TBs LBs are better. I'm just mad we punted on those 4th n shorts.
