  1. Sure, I agree his knee is a concern. But he's a WR, not a HB. Good ones can play over 30 pretty regularly. And I emphasize good, it's not just limited to the greats. Hopkins missed only wo games last year because of injury, the other 7 due to suspension. In 2021 he had a hammy injury that cost him 3 games before tearing his MCL, missing the last 4. Even if he only plays two more years, I don't see why he's not worth at most a 4th for a team that is now WR hungry.
  2. I think it's because of the whole PED suspension thing but dude came back and did better than Hollywood w/ Worse QBs.
  3. ???? He had 717 yards (led the Cards), 64 catches on 90 targets (both 2nd on the Cards) and 3rec TDs (T-2nd on the team) in 9 games last year. Questioning his durability? Sure absolutely. Wouldn't give up more than a 4th. But there's nothing to support he's running out of gas.
  4. so we coulda been picking in the 20s instead of in the top 10?
  5. As a person who thought this earlier in the season, things have changed a bit. - Falcons kept sucking. They're in the top 10 and I honestly expect them to take Bijan to round out the offense. A name like Garappolo would make them Wild Card contenders. - Saints Defense is old, but smart still. If they play competent Saints are probably serious contenders in the division (remains to be seen: MT's health, Kamar's situation and their coaching staff.) - Bucs cleared up a lot of space and still have a lot of talent on the roster. Hate to say it but so far our offseason all we've done is get worse. I'm hype as fug for our new QB, but the only pieces on that offense that will be returning are our 3rd year WRs and our O-line.
  6. I wanna say Rashee Rice but I think having TMJ and him would be a lil redundant. I like the guy Steve's been hyping up, Xavier Smith, but he's raw. The other guys I like won't be there at 40.
  7. Biggest W for the Bears in this trade. #1 WR to head a good young core at a rly good price.
  8. I can't edit my above but gahDAMN some of the stuff Roman and Steve say without saying abt the Ron era is telling lol.
  9. Goddamn Roman looks as young as he did when he retired.
  10. We already have Tommy Tremble, as much as I love TEs I'm not rushing to nab bigger Tommy Tremble.
  11. Don't know cap numbers but Lamar is exactly the type of prospect Snyder likes to throw money at so ppl forget he's the owner.
  12. this is my fear i rly dont want to hurt ourselves over foreman
  13. Great blocker, very very good receiver. Watch him block. Voch Lombadi put it best:[In terms of where he positions himself] "He's up there with the guards." Plus it sounds a lil sexier than saying "He's a FB with the ability of Marshawn Lynch."
  14. I wouldn't mind him (or JSN) at 9 if the QBs are gone. If here were in this draft with Barkley, CMC, Fournette, Zeke, and (Even if I think he's the most talented of the ones I listed) Gurley, he'd still get drafted ahead of all of them. He's a TE at HB and for an offense that needs playmakers, you could do worse. Question is how much the whole "nnnnnngh no HBs in the first" type of guy you are.
  15. this is honestly funnier than it should be phobias are logical, so i feel bad for him but...how dude
  16. lol he's not lasting to the 2nd. I'm not even a big fan of his but Combine sealed him up as a late first at worst. Combine has me crushing on Adetomiwa Adebawore. 6'2, 280, 4.49. Decently long arms and 27 reps too. Raw as hell but you can't teach that size/speed combo, hard to imagine a better project to take over YGM's spot.
  17. I can name quite a few offenses that I could argue and likely prove wouldn't have looked as good or made it as far without the skills like a DHop, Gronk, Kupp or Julio provide. The gravity of those players if you don't have a hitman to take that player out of the game is talked abt, but it's hard to see on film because all it takes is a second of hesitation for a well schemed offense to use that gravity. I truly believe that having a true #1 WR is a valuable to a passing offense be it at TE, WR, and as we experienced even a very capable HB. And while I think what the trends defenses are leaning toward dictate what makes what WR skills pop more in any given season, having a guy you know you can line up at X Y or Z (or any combination of those) and do anything for you offense, or do something at an unguardable level is an understated weapon that is worth the value if you have the pieces in place. Contracts are whatever. As long as that player produces somewhat it's comically easy to move skill position players in the NFL. And for every Megatron and Moss that don't have rings there's just as many Rivers and Lucks who don't as well. Situation matters. Goes for paying them as well.
  18. I also want to say I think we're selling too low on D.J. here lol. He's a low end #1 - High end #2 and the value we have him at is nuts rn.
  19. I agree with this with one addendum: You pay the Julios, the Megatrons and the JJs of WRs in their prime, we've seen far too many times an Elite WR and even a Good QB is enough to carry a bad offense. The biggest issue is IDing when you have a JJ and when you have a DJ when it comes time to putting pen to paper.
  20. I mean, I know this happens where the bar is reset for positional value and all but boy oh boy, WR2 is pricey lol. How do you think we should address WR2 moving ahead?
  21. We can have our cake and eat it too. Why not? "Wait so he's the best candidate and we can get picks? Sign me up!"
