Very much this yes!

I think he’s retiring out right, maybe they could get him as a consultant. But his days as a GM are over by his choice.

I propose us as a fan base do a Cam Newton appreciation day! On February 1st “2/1” which represents Cam’s College and Panthers Jersey Numbers. On February 1, 2022, Post a memorable picture of Cam or about a fond memory from your favorite game and tag Cam and the Panthers on social media. Lets show Cam that regardless of our shitty coach and questionable ownership, that the Fans appreciate him always and forever as the Superman that he was for us! Keep Pounding!

Oh no doubt, I mentioned and raised the Tepper v Tomlin issue when the Panthers were in the ownership hunt. My point then was that being too reactionary as a owner is a bad thing and that’s how you end up being the Browns, and we need to be like the Steelers because firing Tomlin was crazy. And now everyone is hoping we react and fire Rhule now, little bit of irony there but I do believe Rhule was mistake when we hired him and we need to cut our losses.

In all fairness that was also the year they should have won the super bowl, and completely melted down the entire season(by Steelers standards). Probably still his most talented team that just wiffed
-
Darnold: 0 TDs in 20 consecutive quarters now.

Tepper embarrassed by Rhule. Rhule lost locker room.

I think it’s that, and a lot of Rhule’s mistakes would be off the books by then, and the new coach would actually have a draft. Rhule already set next year up for failure, Bad new contracts, no draft picks, not a lot of salary cap. Thankfully after next season as long as they don’t do anything stupid this year we should be sitting pretty. what we need to do this year is focus on keeping a few key starters and focus on the O-line. Chances are we will suck next year so would be nice actually having our draft picks too -
some here will get this reference

Cam Newton is now top 25 in all time Rushing Touchdowns

Like I said in my other thread, a incentive based end of career contract with him mainly being here as a backup and short yardage and redzone situations, shouldn’t be that expensive and he would fill a need. -
What do you want to see happen in an ideal situation? 1. Fire Rhule 2. Trade some of our players that we know we won’t be keeping or just need to get rid of and have value for picks. (Brown, CMC) 3. sign Cam to a career ending in Carolina Contract. Incentives for starting, but when he isn’t starting, redzone and short yardage situations. 3. Draft on actual team needs (offensive line, and more offensive line and LB’er) 4. Resign Reddick and Gilmore 5. sign some quality depth for the Oline. 6. Address the O-line. no use in Drafting a QB behind this oline. Intentionally tank next year and Draft a QB. When we fire Rhule we are resetting the clock on the rebuild so keep that in mind. Also please no more career contracts for 1 year of decent play or trading draft picks 1-4. Stated long before this year that we straight up shouldn’t ever trade those picks.

Lions are winning their second game all year. Their second game! They would have to win out just to tie us. lMAO
-
I agree with firing Rhule, but this is stupid. Lions are definitely not better than us.

I think he looked for the pass a half second too late. Ball looked on the money to me. And yes he was limping a bit -
Did the Panthers just retain Stephon Gilmore?

Wonder if we got a home town discount? He’s playing like a all pro when on the field… -

PJ looks sooo much better -
Definitely true there.
-
Which is kinda stupid. Honestly jumping the gun on a coach isn’t helping anyone, the coach included.
-
Meh, let’s just see what he does. Definitely more of a known quantity
-
Doesn’t matter, have you seen how bad our Oline is playing? Even without horn, what is the bigger issue that’s been costing us a lot of games this season? So far I only count 1 game and that was the Redskins game that was lost because of bad DB play.
-
Uhm… not fields. but I did raise some hell about us not picking up Slater or Parsons, Slater most of all. with the current state of our oline there is no way to defend the pic of Horn over Slater. I raise till about this at the time and now time is proving me correct.
-
Very true, but at this point I don’t really care either way haha
-
I feel like embracing my inner Dan Patrick and just root for chaos at this point! Would Be awesome!

My interest in this team is at an all time low

1-15 season was pretty bad yo -
We have already wasted 3 years on Matt Rhule, it’s time for a change. Incase you think I made a mistake and meant 2, I didn’t, we already squandered next years draft picks and salary, Darnold trade which was godawful and the contracts we gave out to meh players (Robby Anderson Anyone?) trading for a head case in Henderson Our draft was atrocious too. I caught a lot of flack for shitting on it, but I’ll say it again, Based on position and need we should Of drafted Parsons or Slater both have played at pro bowl levels this year. That alone means I was right, I’m not a NFL professional and I saw this, how can our people be so blind??
