Said it the entire time that Willis wasn’t a first round talent. NFL just agreed. crazy that people wanted him at 6
-
The Willis hype is unfounded. I really hope he doesn’t come here.

Word must be the QBs are terrible, if the Steelers don’t draft a QB one won’t go in the first round

Round 1 - The Carolina Panthers select Ikem Ekwonu

fantastic pick, QB's in this draft were doo doo. so happy right now -
Panthers got whoever they want. If they screw this up its 100% on them

The Booing of Roger Goodell at the NFL draft, a tradition unlike any other!
-
It has to do with a combination of off the field issues, which are reported to be serious. And a very low wonderlic score. In todays NFL the average for QB is 24. He scored a 15… kenny Pickett wasn’t much better at 17 but at least with Pickett you don’t have the off the field issues
-
Any of the qb’s in this draft are questionable at best. Did a lot of reading over the last two days and now I almost wish we wouldn’t and draft a LT. Seriously any an taken is 50/50 bet at best. I think overall Pickett is the best, but that’s not saying a lot. Corral was my favorite but after I read up more I hope we do not draft him

I've completely lost all my interest in this QB draft over the last two days. people can dog it all they want but having a low wonderlic score is not a good sign at all, and then he's got serious personal issues. millions of dollars will make these issues worse. not better. Corral has entered "hard pass" for 6 for me

Colts get Gilmore. 2 years 23 mill. 14 guaranteed.

Tough to come back to a bad an situation -
Alexander predicts we get Garoppolo or Mayfield
Doc Holiday replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we really wanted either of these players we’d have traded for them already. Lot of talk in the off-season that ain’t got no truth to it. Calling BS on this one. Panthers plan 1 is to draft a QB. We probably have a trade back contingency in place if one of the players we want is off the board. as far as players on other teams go, I’ll look at Minshew with the eagles as being the most likely QB to be traded to Carolina. I’d take him over Willis every day of the week. I know there is a Willis hype train but drafting him at 6 would be a huge mistake on a second round talent at best. -
He has the best body of work. Been the most consistent in college.

Outside opinions on the Panthers draft plans
Doc Holiday replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Said it the entire time you don’t draft projects in the top 10 of the draft. Willis doesn’t need to be anywhere on the Panthers board at 6. -
They’re not jumping into the top 5 with a 16, 19. You could move up to a top 10-8 maybe?

Be funny if it’s Pickett with pick 6

REPORT: Panthers are not interested in Baker Mayfield
Doc Holiday replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know we had like 2 threads about this but every report came out that we weren’t actually interested and people ran with it anyway. Lol -
Based on moves by the Panthers and Other teams… other teams in the top 5 do too. The Panthers do want to Draft a QB and I do believe that Pickett is their top choice. This is based on the fact that his name just keeps popping up with the Panthers a lot, also tie ins with Tepper being a big Pitt Booster and Rhule previously trying to get him to Temple makes me believe this is their guy. The issue is many teams ahead of the Panthers will be looking to Draft a QB early. The picks in front of and around the Panthers: 1. Jags - not looking for a QB 2. Detroit - Not looking for a QB? 3. Houston Texans - Definitely looking at a QB 4. jets - Not looking for QB 5. Giants - possibly looking for QB 6. Panthers - definitely looking for QB 7. Giants (from trade) - possible QB 8. Atlanta - Definitely looking for QB. So the Texans I’d say are definitely gonna Draft a QB at this point. The wild Card is the Giants at 5. I could see them moving on from Jones at this point and I could also see them trading with Atlanta if they’re not. This is a contingency that the Panthers have to account for… so with that said I believe the Panthers are going to have a trade in place on the day of the first round of the draft to trade for a QB if one we like doesn’t fall to us at 6. imo there are only 2 QB’s worth a top 10 pick in the draft. Outside of that we’d be reaching terribly.

Don’t know if it’s been shared here or not, but word is we still ain’t interested in baker. -
REPORT: Armstead is between Chicago, Miami, and Carolina.
Doc Holiday replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
You sir, win the best comment of the day award. -
I said it was going to be the Panthers or the Browns before espn said the browns were out. I said multiple times that the saints and Falcons weren’t in a position to make the trade to which I was correct. He wanted to go to the Falcons of the Saints but they couldn’t make it happen.

Well that didn’t help either lol

Kenny Pickett > Malik Willis (at least for us)
Doc Holiday replied to janderson20vt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Allen wasn’t a project. He went 7 and started 10+ games the year he was drafted. people are talking about sitting Willis for a year to develop. You don’t draft projects in the top 10. -
Peyton Manning fell off the cliff pretty fast. Had 1 ok season by Peyton manning standards then was absolutely terrible the next

Kenny Pickett > Malik Willis (at least for us)
Doc Holiday replied to janderson20vt's topic in Carolina Panthers
I didn’t ask your opinion. But if someone in a NFL front office thinks you draft a project in the top 10 they need to be fired immediately. -
