This could be a fun guessing game. I say Washington Redskins.

Outside of our division rivals (it's a toss up whether I despise the Falcons or the Saints more) I've never really bothered to plumb the depths of other teams' fan bases, especially the AFC teams like Denver who we see only occasionally. But after reading their forum and the comments sections of news articles, damn if Denver doesn't have the most delusional homerism I've seen. They're like the old Chicago Super Fans predicting absurd margins of victory. I'm not even talking about trolls being trolls, I mean just obnoxious and flippant disregard for any aspect of the Carolina Panthers' game. I hope the Panthers go Conan the Barbarian on them -- "Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women."

Funny how people still keep saying "yeah but the Panthers play in a weak division" and "yeah but the Panthers had a soft schedule" as if that negates the fact that we beat both playoff opponents -- and in a dominating fashion no less. When you crush the #2 seed, you crush the #2 seed. There's no weighted formula at work there. If you beat them you beat them, and it doesn't matter in the least that the other three teams in your division happen to suck. It reminds me of a joke my chemistry professor always told about scientists -- "well sure it works in practice, but does it work in theory?" -- to illustrate the fallacious thinking that settles in whenever you have an echo chamber repeating a mindless narrative.

What a bunch of whiners! How could you actually want a division rival to beat the team that your guys could not? That's inviting them to prove they're the class of your division. If the Panthers got smoked in a wild card or divisional game, I for dang sure would not be happy about Atlanta or the Aints marching out to show our guys how it's done. I prefer keeping them in the basement of the division.
