  1. Alright Shane, it's about time to come on home. That brush forward is only doing so much...
  2. Great 1st period! One of the best all season. I barely even realised the other Levy son was in net tonight.
  3. I know a lot of the analytics guys swore that Anaheim just didn't know how to use him. But, damn. Glad we figured it out.
  4. Haven't tried Bally's yet. But, Spectrum's stream is better quality than their cable boxes.
  5. I wonder if that includes the Whaler days or strictly since we became the Canes?
  6. If Kyle Allen had those same first 3 starts in spot duty over 2 seasons, we could've easily traded a promising young backup for a 1st+
  7. I'm not under any delusions that teams will do this. Especially Baltimore. The players and the city love Lamar. And to be clear, if I were GM in this scenario and landed a Patrick Mahomes or a Joe Montana, I would pay them. There's a reason QBs are so overpaid. Because a great one is the biggest game changer. I'd still draft a backup every year to sit on the bench behind him and develop, though.
  8. As much as we give Optimus poo, he's been a big part of a playoff run. Can't ask much more from your 3rd net minder. Can we take a moment to appreciate how rare it is to have a goalie room this great in the NHL?
  9. I don't think it necessarily should've been a penalty. But, if you are already just calling/not calling poo on a whim, you'd think a ticky tack call that scary would go there other way. I guess they really don't care about player safety...
  10. Looked like Hak was trying to brace him from the hit. But, that huge frame carried into him right as his head hit the board. Ugly.
  11. yikes. looked like it caught him between the shin and there knee pad. puck on bone point blank slapshot.
  12. Did Dr. Ott sacrifice a virgin before the game?
  13. I like the energy much better this period so far.
  14. That covid break before the playoffs can't get here soon enough
  15. I've been pushing this theory for a while now. I don't think any team is ready to take that leap just yet. It's why I believe we should not pass on Fields or Lance if they are there. There is a huge market inefficiency when it comes to qbs in the NFL. As it stands, having a starting qb on a rookie contract gives you an extra $15-25m in cap space for the rest of your team. As trade capital, no other position comes close. So why not draft a qb every year. Not necessarily 1st round, but maybe top 3. Rookie contracts last 4 years. If half of them end up being backup level, you can still recoup the cost trading them away. If even 25% end up above average, your will have 10-12 picks in every draft.
  16. I honestly don't know if I've ever gotten over Prince stealing his soul at the George Harrison HOF induction... Tom Petty's face @ 5:30
