Some perspective... The numbers...

Not really, the players hear what the fan base and media are saying. And he knows the team is in a funk. Aho let the fans know that he hears the noise. And, he agrees. Close isnt good enough for this team! He also defended the culture that his coach and captain have built in Raleigh. As for the rest of the players, all the talk about out working other teams seemed like a pretty clear shot across the bow of some of the guys who haven't been in this system for almost a decade. He can't call a players only meeting. I think this is his way of showing leadership without stepping on Jordo's toes.

Players Tribune I think about the playoff losses a lot. It hurt then, and it hurts now. Each one of them stays with me. It stays with us. We have scar tissue. That’s the honest truth. Need to see this top line stick together for a while. If we are gonna make a run in the playoffs, we need those 3 guys playing with chemistry. Let RBA move Jarvy around like the Swiss army knife that he is to fulfill his line chopping tendencies. Double, hell, triple shift him if you're feeling cute, Rod. The kid can handle it. I'd love to see all 4 of those guys getting 23+ minutes a game!
