All that momentum built up over the first fifteen minutes blown in about 90 seconds. Can't have lapses like that with a tired goalie.

Ughhh! fug Patrick Kaine!
-
Grr!
-
McLovin! also...
-
Nice to see him still getting in on the PK. He's earned it.
-
Svech on pace for 44 goals in 56 games.
-
Staal -> Svech = 1-0

I was surprised too. I don't think that is the last we will see of him this season, though. With the way we played the past week, I wouldn't be surprised to see Rod churn the bottom end of the roster until we find the right fit.
-
Well it is his birthday ! Hopefully Seabass and Turbo get him something nice to celebrate.

Car (5-1-0) Carolina -170 Chi (3-4-3) Reimer will be basically statting his 3rd straight in 4 days. Luckily, it comes against the lowly Hawks. My how the mighty have fallen... lol We will be back almost to full strength. Turbo, Slavin, Martinook and Foegle all come off the COVID quarantine. Familiar faces, but new lines... Forwards McGinn-Aho-Teravainen Niederreiter-Trocheck-Necas Svechnikov-Staal-Foegele Dzingel-Geekie-Martinook Defensemen Slavin-Hamilton Skjei-Pesce Gardiner-Fleury Goalies Reimer Nedeljkovic Injuries: McCormick (upper body; injured reserve), Mrazek (upper body) COVID-19 protocol list: Fast Taxi squad: Bean, Bibeau, Lorentz, Ryan NHL.com I'm feeling a big game from Aho tonight.
-
That means we're gonna need probably 10+ wins from Nedeljkovic.
-
I say leave it that way. Might get a few extra saves with that wonky thumb... lol
-
A better pic here...
-
@ArmstrongABC11: Not for the easily queasy-d, but @GameDayCharlie video shows why Mrazek is out for longer than they'd hoped. The injured thumb is in the bottom right of this pic

On Mrazek... @LukeDeCock: Brind'Amour on Mrazek: "There's a little more serious damage there. We're still not sure what the process is going to be." @ice_chip: Brind'Amour on Mrazek status: "Looks like it's going to be a little longer than we had hoped." Mrazek may need surgery, he said COVID news... @abbylabar_: This morning, the #Canes sent Drew Shore, Sheldon Rempal and Joey Keane back to the Chicago Wolves. That's good news for the NHL squad, sounds like guys will be returning to play Hawks on Tuesday. We will talk with Rod Brind'Amour and players shortly for official update! @corylav: Brind’Amour hopeful Foegele, Martinook and Teravainen are cleared for tomorrow’s game. Link to press conference Sounds like we've weathered the storm for the most part with this outbreak. We should be back to full strength by next week, at least as far as skaters go. No timetable yet for Petr "Between The" Piper. Hopefully, nothing to serious. Comments from last night about waiting for an MRI suggest soft tissue injury, but differing reports of blood on the ice could be a cut, a compound fracture or a severe dislocation. No matter what the outlook is for Mr. Azek, we are going to have to count on Taxi Driver Ned for some quality starts in net. He's been seasoning down in CLT for a while now. I hope he is finally ready to make the big boy leap once and for all. A young steady presence in net would allow us to include either Reimer or a healthy Mrazek in a package for a big bodied C to add a little more toughness to our lineup. We got bullied up and down the ice the last 2 nights. I'm not saying we need to go get a goon or start playing dirty, (like the Stars) we just need some more muscle out there. If we are still this soft come the playoffs, we'll spend another year watching the finals from home.
-
Just gotta hope Mrazek's MRI comes back clean. I do like Ned, but this team is built to make a run this year. I'd hate to see all this talent held back by an inexperienced netminder.

Those refs were god awful tonight. Still not sure how Aho didn't draw a penalty skating half the length of the ice with only one arm to end OT. Overall, we played a tough, gut check type of game tonight. Sloppy at times. A bunch of tired guys not used to playing with eachother. Young guys going up against a physical (read DIRTY) team, they got pushed around at times. But every time Dallas looked like they were gonna take control we came right back with a counterpunch. Rod has the team feeling confident even when we are playing our entire taxi squad. I have a good feeling about this team!

And Reimer stones em again for the win!
-
Vinny T buries it!
-
Scech loses control and Reimer gets beat on the backhand.
-
Dougie undresses the former Cane and Reimer stones em.
-
How was that not a penalty? Oh well. Shootout Time!

These refs are 12 lbs of hot ass.
