  1. If JJ wants to retire, then this move makes sense. I don't remember hearing that. But, I easily could've missed it.
  2. No one is questioning what Rhule/Fitt believe, rather whether they are justified in believing it. Given the relatively short track record of both, I think it is fair to question their decision making.
  3. Like I said, we know you better than you know yourself.
  4. So do tones and sentiments. Ever heard of a backhanded compliment?
  5. Unfortunately, the message you took from that was to instead tell others how dumb they are to make yourself look smart by comparison.
  6. The huddle's resident insider was pushing it right up until draft day.
  7. You post on here more than anyone else, even the owner. Everyone here knows you. Apparently better than you do.
  8. Thinking the front office made a mistake =/= thinking you are smarter than the front office. It means you think that the front office is made up of humans, who are by nature prone to mistakes. Thinking that someone knows more about something then someone else simply because they are paid to do it is ridiculous. Ideally, that is how it should work but, again we live in a society built by humans. Go to Home Depot and chances are, you know more about the tools in the building than the employees do. Most politically active Americans know far more about the issues than the elected officials do. Hell, I manage a bar at one of the most expensive country clubs on the east coast. We have a multimillion dollar wine cellar and a sommelier who is sitting for his level 3 next week. And we regularly have members whose wine knowledge blows ours away. And they are just wine fans, not professionals who get paid to do it.
  9. Where did I say you did? It helps if you actually understand what you are reading.
  10. Sophmoric rubes whose only arguments are appeals to authority are worse.
  11. Your only opinion is, "the team did it and they are professionals, so they must be right." Ignoring that people get fired from the NFL every year for not knowing what the hell they are doing. And most never sniff another NFL job again afterwards. For all the time, energy and money that teams put into scouting, their results are no better than throwing darts at a board. Why exactly are we not allowed to question these experts?
  12. If Fields balls out in Chicago and Sammy looks like he always has, it will be a lot longer than a year.
  13. You really want to put that bust label on him already?
  14. That's why I said value. I agree a TE was a need. But, if we are acknowledging that there are no NFL caliber pass catching TEs left, or we don't need one for our offense, then I don't know why we didn't wait until tomorrow to take a blocking TE. IDK. I'm not as plugged in on college football or scouting as many on here. Maybe he really does have untapped potential in the passing game. Maybe Brady has something up his sleeve. Or maybe we're finally embracing the rebuild and starting from the ground up?
  15. I just don't get it. Unless Brady secretly plans to have him run 4.5 yrd routes every passing play to get around the downfield blocker rule. That's the only way the value makes sense. Maybe I'm just not giving enough credit to special teams effect on games.
  16. I only use the mobile site, so I have never seen it. But, I now know exactly which picture you're talking about.
  17. Turbo and Skjei both looked comfortable tonight. Hopefully we can get the rest of the guys back with a few games under their belt before the playoffs start.
