Video released of Morgan negotiating a 4th for Mingo...
-
Jerry Jones suffering from dementia, confirmed.

I'm glad it worked out, but the idea that we made a pick based on somebody's wife thinking the guy had a cool name is just insane. Really shows our FO has no idea WTF they are doing and literally just throwing darts at a board and praying.
-
We beat the swamp mirror match of the Panthers, by a whopping 1 point, with help from the refs all day. Let's wait a bit before we start planning the parade. Morgan still has a long ways to go before he proves that he's a competent GM.

Watching these two teams be like...
-
on a pass that's just about the easiest possible throw you can give your QB
-
Playcall was fine. That's an easy 1st if Bryce doesn't throw up a slow zero-velocity rainbow on a 2 yard pass.
-
JT Sanders... the new Greg Olsen?
-
fug it, season is trash anyway, let's see how many personal fouls we can rack up whenever we play the Saints
-
Coker and XL... the new Smitty and Moose?
-
after seeing this dirty ass team intentionally trying to injure Herbet the week before, literally zero fugs taking cheap shots on them
-
if you're the saints just go two TEs and run the ball literally every play. you will never punt. this isn't complicated
-
bro this defense lmao guys look like they've already given up and the game just started
-
31-3 when it matters. Couple garbage time TDs from Bryce. Final score 31-17 Saints.

With the first pick, don't draft a QB? Draft a DE? C'mon!

Your options are QB or trade down. I can see the argument for both of those options, but staying at 1 and picking a non-QB is a disaster. You sacrifice an absurd amount of value. You can only trade down a few spots if you still want to stay in that top elite player range. Probably end up still getting the guy you would have taken at 1 anyway. Staying put at 1 and going with a non-QB seems like such a fugup that it shouldn't even be considered an option. So that's probably what the Panthers will do. -

Noted obese person Kelvin Benjamin netted a 3rd rounder and all Morgan can get for Diontae is moving up 10 spots in the 5th/6th AND you agree to pay his salary. This team is run by idiots.

My patented "ignore the QBs, trade down over and over and over" draft strategy.

Chase Daniels breaks down Bryce vs DEN
R0CKnR0LLA replied to ChuckWag78's topic in Carolina Panthers
Competent QBs can read defenses presnap, see where their best matchups are and already know where they're going with the ball. Then have good footwork with fast fundamentally sound dropbacks. See the field well and decisive with their decisions on where to go with the ball. And an NFL caliber arm, get the ball out quickly and deliver it with velocity. Bryce can do none of these things. -

I'd say trade down but my confidence in Dan Morgan to negotiate a good deal is worse than zero. -
We really going to pay out a huge contract to a FA RB, after having just spent a 2nd rounder on one... and having one of the worst defenses of all time?
-
Holy sheet, I just saw that the Panthers also agreed to pay off almost all of DJ salary as well. The Ravens are only on the hook for 625k, Panthers end up paying over $17 million for him to end up playing for someone else. That was one of the few benefits of trading him away and you caved on that too? What. The. Fug.

He took the worst team in the league and somehow managed to make them even worse. "Fixed the OLine" - spending $150 million and netting two solid guards is the basketball equivalent of making a wide open layup. Congrats? I guess? Shipped out a bunch of guys on defense, to bring in "their guys". Many of these moves didn't even save money. Cap space wise most of them were sideways moves, a few even cost more. Result? Massively downgraded the defense, even before you factor in the injuries. Draft looks underwhelming. The most promising player is a damn UDFA lol Negotiating skills are literally the worst I've ever seen - just absolutely laughably bad. Dude's a straight bum. Who could have predicted hiring Fitterer's right hand man wasn't such a good idea?
