All things being equal I think I’d take 2020 Cam over 2020 Bridgewater.

For real though, he looked pretty awesome in their playoff game, and in his limited appearances with us. He’s definitely got talent and the game is not too big for him. Not saying he should be their permanent starter though…

I'd be completely fine with either trading for Watson or landing any of Fields, Wilson or Lance. Any way you slice it we WILL have a new, upgraded QB behind center next season.

And makes me really happy that we're one of the handful of teams with 10's of million of dollars in cap space to go shopping with. This is one of the most important off seasons we've had in quite some time. There is really an opportunity here to improve our team quickly if they play their cards right.

Its very tempting to spend maybe a 2nd or 3rd on Darnold, and roll with our first round picks and just continue to build a great team in all phases of the game. That being said, I still am all for selling the farm to get Watson.

Yeah, but that situation never made sense. They cannot afford to pay both Teddy and Jimmy G. Thats a lot of money tied up in 2 mediocre QB's.

Meh, up until a few days ago, this McClain dude was adamant that Houston would not trade Watson. Hes been consistently wrong on this issue since the beginning. I would not put too much stock into his opinion - which is all this is.

Don't you think if the team had ANY interest in keeping Cam as a Panther, he would still.....you know, be a Panther? They had plenty of opportunities to keep him here, and booted him out the door as soon as they could. We're getting rid of Teddy mostly due to his "physical limitations", and you want to bring in a QB whos even more limited than Teddy? 2015 Cam is never walking thru that door. His arm is damaged goods. We are looking for a QB with the arm to push the ball down the field. It is a MUST in Joe Brady's offense. And that ain't 2021 Cam Newton.

You're leaving out the most important, and really only point to all of this: 1. Watson does not want to play in Houston anymore and may refuse to even suit up at all.
