Ok let me get this straight, Rhule is an idiot but you’re a genius right?

What does Moton tag mean for Curtis Samuel?
joemac replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Unfortunately we cannot afford to pay our WR3/RB2 10 mil + a season. -
All I want is an extremely accurate QB with a cannon for an arm. Is that too much to ask?

A second rounder who will almost assuredly get drafted in the Top 10. -

Is your QB's 40 times really that important? I prefer him to be an accurate passer with a strong arm, intelligence and good instincts, but WTF do I know? -

Chris Simms also has Zach Wilson ranked higher than Trevor Lawrence. -
And what was their record in those 5 games? 1-4? Something like that? He had to throw for that many yards because his D was swiss cheese. Its generally not a good thing to have your QB throwing for that many yards. That usually means you are losing....

You're right on this - BUT, its understandable that the D would struggle as it was made up of a ton of rookies, and they definitely showed a lot of improvement as the season went on. I expect very good things out of the D this year as our young pups continue to grow. If they can manage to keep this core group around for the next couple years they are going to turn into a juggernaut. -
LMFAO

That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.

Nah. The signing bonus is spread out over the life of the contract. He gets it all year 1, but it doesn’t all count against the cap.

Well a big reason is because we don’t have another QB on the roster to take his place. Say we trade Teddy tomorrow. Then we never get Watson, and then every good QB is taken ahead of us. Then what? -

I really don’t think any of these jack wagons are very informed. Everyone is just talking out of their ass these days. -

They’d almost have to, assuming next they move Jimmy G. That’s over 40 mil a year tied up in 2 awfully mediocre QBs. -

Lol what? And we haven’t accepted yet?! -
Lol we still have a current starting QB averaging 20 mil a year. He’s just not a former MVP unfortunately.

Jesus H. Christ. Thanks Jerry….he just reset the market on slightly above average QBs.

No wonder I forgot he even played for us as the season was going on… -
A new fire to the Watson drama (per Jason la Canfora)
joemac replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
What hes actually worth, and what teams will offer the Texans are not always the same thing. These GMs are ruthless, and if they know they have you by the balls, they will do whatever they can to make it worse. Anybody who trades for Watson is going to try to do it for the least amount of capital as possible, likewise, Houston will try to completely maximize any return they get for him. Waiting till after the draft, or into the season, is not a good play for them. Thats when they get desperate, and you can smell desperation a mile away. -
I could actually see that happening. Teddy would be a good mentor to Hurts.

I think the dead cap hit alone pretty much guarantees CMC will be a Panther next year at least.
