    Very few teams actually employ this strategy though. Most go with filling the immediate, glaring holes they have versus drafting a guy who they know will not play at all, especially with a super valuable first round pick.

    We invested our entire draft on defense last year, and got some real gems it seems. At some point we're going to have to invest draft capital into the offense.

    I really think Stafford could be an amazing QB on a better offense. He would be in the top of the league in yards and TDs next year if he came here. Dude can really spin it.

    Jets are in no way guaranteed to take a QB. They’ve said publicly that they plan on sticking with Darnold. They could take Sewell at 2.

    Yeah that’s because they have one of the best QBs in the league! Having that makes everything else so much easier!!

    Rams have not had a first round pick since 2016 and they’re always gunning for the Championship.

    They can have CMC. No way do they get Burns. Unless all they’re asking is CMC and Burns for Watson straight up. That would sting, but we would still have all our draft picks to replace Burns. And we’ve seen CMC can be adequately replaced with someone like Mike Davis. Good RBs are a dime a dozen right now.

    We currently have 120,00,000 cap space for 2022 just with where the cap sits now. Yes Watsons salary will be high, but that is currently the going rate for a high end franchise QB. Also, his salary next year is only 10 million. It’s absolutely possible to do this thing and still keep most of our core players around.
