Burns, CMC, 2 firsts. Book that poo and bring Deshaun home.
-
They can have Burns too. fug it.

Christian McCrutches LOL

fug it, lets do it! Can't be any worse than what we've got now! You think we can get the Browns to trade OBJ for Robby straight up, and Houston to trade Watson for Sam? If so, we're in business!

Gonna be very interesting to see where they decide to allocate money in the secondary moving forward. I think there is a real possibility of us re-signing Gilmore assuming he comes in and balls out the rest of the season. So, we would then have Gilmore, Horn and Taylor as our 3 main CBs, which, from a financial perspective anyways, makes the most sense to me. If we're going to be handing out a big money extension to a CB they're gonna have to choose between Donte and Gilmore. Too many holes on this team to pay them both big bucks, especially considering the draft capital we've thrown at the position recently. Hell, I wouldnt be upset with Horn, Taylor and Boyue next year honestly.

IDK why nobody has taken a flyer on Schwartz yet? Is his health really that bad?

I guess a new T would be OK, but what we really need is help at G.

Brendan Haywood: The Hornets are exciting and for real
joemac replied to jayboogieman's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Why did they even draft Bouknight to begin with? They've got a log-jam with young, talented back court players. Im struggling to find a scenario where Bouk gets any significant run anytime soon unless someone gets injured. -
Yeah the last game was the most demoralizing loss we've had in maybe 10 years. This week is make or break. If we come back and beat Atlanta this season MIGHT be salvageable...but if we lose, oh boy....

I dont think Tepper just spent a billion dollars or whatever it was on their brand new training facility in Rock Hill just to up and move the team to London or San Antonio or some poo.
-
Not a coincidence that the entertainment value of the team has gone in the shitter since they got rid of the only entertaining player they had in Cam Newton. He at least made the games exciting to watch.

Chris Simms: People have caught on to the Panthers offense.
joemac replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
Same exact thing that happened last year, IMO...but at what point do you make him come out there and earn his highest RB salary in NFL history? All I know is that the week he got hurt, he was barely even limping and they called it a "less than Grade 1 strain", now its 6 weeks later and who knows when hes going to return. Either his injury was much worse than they said originally, or someone is lying to us all. -
I liked the Darnold trade originally as well. Hell I even liked it after the first couple games of the season, but now its crystal clear that CMC was hiding Sams GLARING weaknesses, and hes actually regressed greatly since then. For some reason, hes so skittish that he cannot even complete a simple 5 yard pass to the RB anymore. Maybe hes lost all confidence in his O-Line, and the ability of his "weapons" to even catch the ball, but I think most of all hes lost all confidence in himself. Its painful to watch each week. Im getting flashbacks of Jimmy Clausen and Vinny Testaverde.

Is there even any guarantee that hes going to come back this year at this point? And even if he does, itll probably be for 2 games or so until he gets a hang nail or something that lands him on IR for the rest of the season. Hes a transcendent talent, but damn he never plays anymore!! -
I went to the Spurs/Lakers game the other night in San Antonio, and the arena was legit 75% Lakers fans. It was sad, but its not exclusive to Charlotte area sports teams.

He makes terribly slow decisions, and he holds onto the ball FOREVER because of said slow decisions. Its just becoming painfully obvious that Sam is not, and never will be, a high level starter in the NFL. Sucks too, because I had high hopes after our success the first few weeks, but that was Fools Gold. Turns out CMC just masked all the problems this offense really has. But even then, something is different this last month because Sam was hitting guys in stride, on time consistently the first few weeks. I think hes just taken such a beating from our poo o-line, that hes again "seeing ghosts". -

Yeah but whats a "competent vet" in your eyes? Teddy B would probably fit that category, and we didn't exactly light the scoreboard up last year either. Although it WAS dramatically better than the shitshow they're trotting out there for the last month. I think there is plenty of blame to go around on all sides. -

Yeah, ive seen the PFF numbers. I still find it very hard to believe that there is any line out there worse than ours, especially at pass blocking. I feel really sorry for whatever QB is behind that line, because they don't have a chance. -

"Better" is a relative term. Hard to be worse when you are dead last in one of them. -

Yeah, that would entail your OLine opening up holes for said run game....which they have not shown the ability to consistently do thus far. -

Sheesh, he had Robby (who probably would have dropped it anyways) and DJ wide open on that play, but instead tries to force it into double coverage to our terrible TE. Great decision making, Sam. -
Lol we must have a lot of young people and/or newish fans to the team. I remember back in the early 2000’s being able to get a ticket for 5-10 bucks down in the lower bowl. Win games and the fans will all be there.
