    this was a thing back in the 80s too, it's nothing new. a woman with a rape whistle could get a man thrown in jail any time she wanted to. it's just more visible now and goes out to the entire world instead of contained within a community. Being falsely accused sucks, but it's a far cry better than being a victim of abuse, especially when no one believes you.

    i read an interview with one of the guitarists from Janes Addiction, who said he hired pros on the road for this very reason. they did their bidness and gtfo. there wasn’t any of the drama that was involved with groupies. they may be free at the time, but somewhere along the road you’ll run into one who is looking for a meal ticket.

    it just means they’re in a position to trade down, collect more pick, and laugh at us when we can’t move up to grab our guy

    the lawyers who enable the false accusers should be the ones who are punished. they know of the poo is legit or not. if they push through bogus litigation for press or a cash grab, they should be suspended and eventually disbarred.
