Report. Panthers pivoting from Shane Steichen
Mother Grabber replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
i’ve been in this exact situation, where you have a candidate that looks like they should be the next goat, but when you talk to them in person they just fall flat. i’ve tried hard to give a great looking candidate an opportunity to show me they have the stuff, but eventually just have to let them go. he might just not be ready. -
there’s a difference between a build project where you need consistency and reliability vs a competition, where you need constant growth and ingenuity. we lost our first super bowl because the opposing defense had video of our plays and knew what we were going to run. we lost our second super bowl because the offense ran the same plays all year and the defense knew what we were going to do. a competition need new ideas, change, and flexibility. being able to perform the same task over and over again with high reliability is great when building something, but in a competition will lead to the defense jumping all over you.

i’m glad they are doing it like big boys this time. hiring at a top level of any org is about as big a move as you can make, so you’d better do your homework. i have a feeling Wilks and Reich will be more like Foxball than not, but that’s just my speculation. -
two winning seasons, two losing seasons, one right in the middle. sounds pretty damn mediocre to me. Reich has done nothing to show he can create a consistent winner. up and comers may be great, may bomb. we don’t know. all we get from Reich is more picks in the teens.
-
looked like a TD to me, but you can’t see the ball so how do you change the call?
-
what we’re used to isn’t what we are trying to hire someone new to replicate. if you’re looking for a new HC who you hope will make you a perennial contender, 9-8 is not what you should consider an example of success. Reich has not shown any consistent success as a HC.
-
he has shown next level poise and control of the offense. game looks slow to him.
-
wow…threading the needle on that one
-
Burrow proving himself to be an outstanding QB
-
you’re excited about 9-8?
-
cincinnati without three OL starters, and still dominating
-
proof of what? inconsistency? fading away?
-
yeah, just like Belichick without Brady. how’s that working out?
-
hey, the other team practices too.
-
bradbury saw that coming two plays ago
-
steichen is making himself look awfully tasty in this game
-
1 or 2. a big fat no to both coach and QB in the other 3.
-
just like how the great god of all coaching hasn’t done jack since Brady bailed on him.

Panthers in Violation of League Rules

you also don’t know her qualifications, and threw every piece of unrelated crap against the wall in a random expression of anger. she could very well have plenty of experience in HR procedures and corporate hiring. none of us know. her ding for compliance training are also unrelated to her qualifications on the hiring process. the compliance training is most likely a lawyer defined cya policy by the league, and has nothing to do with skills development. -

that has nothing to do with what she is being dinged for. -

i’m not personally aware of what her qualifications are. please share. -
this likely has no actual skills training, but is more “don’t ask racist questions” kind of training so the NFL won’t get sued. yay lawyers.
-
to be fair, compliance training is a universally bemoaned thing
